Williams had 33 carries!! 33!! Hard for a D to play lights out that much. I think you may be forgetting how much effort our D put in on those 2 goal line situations. They had to come back on a quick turnaround and defend a short field. O did them no favors by putting them in no win situations.

Leal may not win us games, but is he going to lose us these last two? Doubtful.

Zero reason? How about this d. Even in a bad day they kept it winnable. I don't have trust in the offense but that's no reason to bail on a team completely

If we do bench Logan, then we'd have a first time starter who's only seen mop-up duty his entire college career going into a game against a top 25 team with ACCCG implications on the line.

Yeahhh....I don't think so. Logan does have his shortcomings, but he gives us the best shot.

I absolutely agree..booing Logan on Senior Night would be despicable. No matter the results, he still laid his ass on the line for this team and for this University. That is why each player is applauded on Senior Night, instead of only the ones that produced on the field.

Stiney calling plays was like watching a 5 year old call plays. His idea of a pass play was "get open"

Yup. First time in almost 3 years on the site where I've used profanity towards someone. Congratulations on that accomplishment.

This season is eerily like 2009; loss to Bama in the opener, ripoff a bunch of wins, then two-straight ACC losses. We beat Miami that year :)

i realize, but just FYI: stiney isn't calling plays.

Honestly I think the coaches see what a lot of us see, but don't always want to acknowledge. Logan has a minimal amount of talent surrounding him. His favorite weapon is a walk-on turned scholarship receiver who got injured and a TE who was the 4th string before the season started. I would trade every player on this offense except for LT and maybe TE14 for someone else's offense, that is how bad they are. LT makes some bad decisions but he does it because he things (and rightfully so in many cases) that the game is on his shoulders. I will always point back to 2011..he was inconsistent, yes, but the talent surrounding him allowed him to be a much better QB.

Everyone seriously must have forgotten just how bad Sean Glennon was

That's what being a fan is. You don't make calls. You just root for the team.

What a troll post this is, was, and will be.

I have to admit for some reason among all of this doom and gloom (which I have attributed to), this comment made me crack a smile. We will wake up to a better day fellow Hokies.

If a guy is an NFL starter one day and a pee-wee football guy the next day, he does not belong in the NFL.

The backup QB is the most popular player on the team when the team is unsuccessful. If you're looking for a quarterback change, you're going to have to wait until next season. In my opinion, we might have had unrealistic expectations for this year.

Well, I don't agree with the purpose of the thread as well, but there's no need to put yourself on his level, is there?

Leal may not be a better talent wise option, but no one knows what kind of decisions could have been made by Leal. There were good and bad decisions by Logan and definitely more than one. If someone on the offensive line continued to miss blocks would you continue to play him because "he's got the most potential?" Or would yous say right now you're not playing well be are going to give someone a shot to play better. Putting in Leal doesn't have to be permanent. Maybe not this game but for example the Duke game maybe putting Leal in for a series or two to see if he would make better decisions than Logan was making wouldn't be the end of the world. If Leal doesn't make the right decisions then there is no harm in putting Logan back in.

Ah yes. The "I don't have a good response so I'll use profanity" comment. Well played sir.

It has to do with him not getting the practice time and getting the reps he needed to learn the blocking schemes, routes to run, etc. Hopefully he can contribute the rest of the year, but realistically he just needs to get healthy so he can contribute next year.

Logan makes great plays; there is no disputing that. He had almost 400 yards of passing and stood in the pocket strong many times. He has been asked to lead this team and to carry this horrible offense. However, his risky/poor decisions are SO detrimental to the team. That is what the issue is. What good would it be if he passed for 800 yards and had 6 touchdowns, if he still throws 7 interceptions. The point is that the outcome of his bad decisions greatly outweigh the results from his great plays. Let's put LT at TE/Receiver (he would be the best TE in the conference) and go to the ACC Championship Game. That would be best for Logan; best for the team.

Yea, the ball was not tipped. They used an angle that was misleading to make the call. The ball was pass the defenders hands which made it look like his fingers touched the ball when paused at the right time. If you look at the angle they showed once from the top, the ball goes straight through his arms and no where near his right hand.

8-4 could be a stretch at this point. Hoping for the best, kinda expecting the worst

Because an "I told you so" thread is so valuable to the site.

Just FYI: stiney is still around
