Announcer "What a great job by Virginia to stop the first half of this play..."

The play was a 20 something yard completion on 3rd and 6 where the receiver was wide open. Uva football everybody, stopping half a play at a time.

Last two games, I've gotten in my car with the game on the radio as I drove. The first half against UNC I was driving for our first two scores and that dominant first half. Against Pitt, the only touchdown we scored occurred while I was driving. I shall be driving again today, even though I don't have anywhere in particular to go this time. LET'S GO!

1,100 shaft horsepower.....it'll get after ya! Some of the instructors have made remarks that its too much power for new students, or they are just jealous they flew in T-34C in training which only had half the power :D

The converse situation is also true. Having a great Defense (as we do), has drastically impacted the offensive production. Why risk a turnover when the coach's know they can punt it back and the D will hold them? The playbook becomes very conservative.

My point about the offense is this....when they needed to score, they have (A'la Marshall).

We have plenty of playmakers, it's just never good news when one of the best isn't going to be on the field. Part of our success is the rotation of guys to keep them fresh and any time you disrupt that, it may cause problems. I'm not super worried, but the combination of everything we've had happen in the last week has given me pause. Both sides of the ball need to execute well today, no question.

Pass rush? Nicholas, Wilson, Maddy, Hopkins, Gayle. I think those guys will do quite well, no matter what combination is on the field.

next man up. Sucks to hear about JR but at least that is where we have some good depth. As for CB, I am pretty sure Kyle plays--I have rarely seen a player listed as questionable that doesn't end up playing. We should be ok, just have to play tough.

All season, we've been dealing with attrition problems. We've made do, and I don't see that changing today.

Bad news. We have depth, but we were counting on a solid pass rush to make up for potential holes in the secondary. I believe in the heart and the talent of this team, but for the love of God let the bleeding stop. Offense needs to come up big today in terms of sustaining drives and coming away with points. We need to limit the amount of time Duke is on the field. We've gotten away with offensive weakness in past weeks, but with all these injuries and suspensions, I am not as confident in the "usual" game plan.
