With the weather that is predicted and our offense still finding themselves I am going for 17-10 Virginia Tech. But what I am hoping for is 35-0 with our defense dominating and our offense finally getting it together and putting the fear (the bird) into the rest of the conference.
Undergrad Hokies, don't let the rain scare you; promise you won't melt. But do make sure your phone is protected by a ziploc bag or something similar. I made this mistake against Miami in 2009, and my 1st iPhone was bricked. Totally worth it, however!
you should get with the NYC Hokie Club (I'm assuming such a thing exists) and see if they will promote the bar to let management know that you can bring in a large group of people on gamedays.

Generally in the NFL, the K is the backup P and vice-versa, so there's really no-one to cut. But he may very well be a better punter than the kicker, with a little more practice.
I am cautiously optimistic about this season. If we can get past the injury bug and the offense comes together this weekend against Marshall then I think we win a close one with GT. UNC can score but at home I am less worried about them. Miami may be over-hyped but they have loads of Talent on offense and their defense is only going to get better over the season. I think it is very possible that we make it to Miami as a 1 loss team and the division rides on that game. It's a rivalry and I can't stand the "u" or its fans but that one is going to be tough. Otherwise we have to avoid a letdown against a scrappy Pitt or Maryland. At this point there is never a reason why UVA should matter or beat VT. Nothing would make me happier than staring down Clemson of FSU in the ACC Championship! Revenge either way would be sweet! Go Hokies!!!
Needs a bold chicago maroon VT logo, but definitely an improvement over the Hokie Tracks.
I went to the Pourhouse for the Ryan Williams dragging fools NC State game a few years back and I enjoyed myself. However, most of my visits to NYC end up with me at Madison Square Garden for Rangers games, so Stout is my spot.

38-10 VT anything less is embarrassing. Marshall has a strong offense. They may get one drive in, otherwise the points would come off a pick-6 or special teams error early in the game. I'm betting on the offense coming together as a unit with Knowles, Coles and perhaps Burns all getting in on the action. Edmonds can add to the pile and our Defense will score at some point. Round it out with Journell redeeming himself in junk time and the score makes sense.
We really are the weirdest Hokie fans. I'm giggling like a school girl at Baxter's laboratory.

I've been going to VT football games since my parents first took me as a baby. I grew up cheering with my dad and learning all the details of football. I take every opportunity I can to go to the games and when I'm there I scream, never sit down and rattle my extra-large key chain on 3rd down. Lane stadium in a way is like coming home for me. Miami 2009 was one of the best memories I've had of VT football because it was my first game back home from being deployed... it's right up there with freezing my butt off during UVA 2004 with the crazy wind and blowing snow. Nothing is sweeter than seeing our Hokies crush an opponent at home. I know we may have had a down year last year but I was there when we sucked all the time. I love VT and I love Hokie Football. I get that not everyone feels the way I do but I am baffled that students are not going crazy to pick up tickets and get to a game. I know each time I was in the desert I would have done anything to be home in Lane screaming my head off and routing our team on! Go Hokies!!!

Well that makes me feel moderately better. I don't mind the occasional departure from the standard uniforms and some have been done well. I also don't mind situational uniforms like orange helmets when we play in the Orange Bowl. It's just the VOLUME of special occasions and random uniforms we crank out. I doubt we're going to actually wear the same kit more than once this whole season, that bothers me.

I agree x3_Hi. I thought this had to be some kind of mistake. So I investigated and found the uni design people had made a mistake. This design was supposed to go on the receivers gloves after the Alabama game.
Clearly we need to go to #HokieOnAHorse
