Greenville/ECU is the Radford of NC. My best friend went there so I have visited countless times. A weekend trip is fun, I could never imagine being there for an extended period of time.

#CapitalOneHokie Hokie Birds do not "nest" or even "roost", but Hokie Birds have been known to kick down trees in order to build cabins. It is this trait that would make the Hokie Bird a great place kicker.

I've written letters to our AD to get them to put up the words on the big screens at the games, but they haven't yet. I only know them because I have friends that were MVs.

You, sir, have mastered the Power of Persuasion!

This too:

Again, I wouldn't know how they'd figure out it was MatLab mimicking a mouse click, when in the computer it registers as the same exact thing.

EDIT: MatLab Code to automate clicking taken down after I was informed that it is a rule violation.

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know. I'll take it down, and refrain from using it.

I love the idea, and I don't know how they'd find out unless somebody tells them, but per the rules, programs like this are not allowed and risk forfeiture of not only the votes accrued by the method, but of all votes to that point.

EDIT to include from their "Official Rules":
"Limit: Eligible voters may complete as many Challenges as they like during each Voting
Period. Any attempt by any voter to obtain points for a Mascot by any fraudulent or
inappropriate means, including without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to
members of the public as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, by using any automated program, by using any other methods, will void those points for the Mascot and
voter may be disqualified as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Submissions
generated by script, macro or other automated means are void and will not generate any
points for any Mascot."

well that's not fair...we shouldn't be penalized for being smarter than the competition...

I've always been taught to work smarter, not harder.

My whole extended family lives in Somerset County. Even though I knew that Flight 93 had gone down in an empty field, I was still worried sick until I was able to talk to my grandma that afternoon.

And i thought my little clicks were making a difference...

I had just gotten home from my 8AM class and walked into my bedroom when I saw on Yahoo news that a plane had hit the WTC. I didn't think much of it, figuring it was a small plane that had strayed off course. A minute later a friend sent me a message on AIM that I had to turn on the news immediately because crazy shit was happening. I ran downstairs and yelled for my roommate to come down just as the second plane hit.

i always thought it was tech tech vpi. . .sorry to crush your souls guys. most people dont even know that much of the cheer.

I love how a post about police being rude turned into a "Leave early" or "Don't leave early" discussion.

The policy for the stadium actually opposes the "tossing" of people in the air, though it says nothing about "Lifting" or "pushups". It is the police/event staff discretion to impose the policy, and most let it slide.

It reminds me of a situation a few years ago after the night game when we beat Clemson at home 31-7. My friends and I stay until "Superman" and when it plays, we do what the MVs do (or at least used to do) with the "flying around". A cop told us to stop, and to leave the stands (the one time of many years of doing this before and since). We told him that we always stay until Superman plays, and we always do this, and we'll be leaving momentarily. He threatened us with arresting us for "Drunk and Disorderly", to which we replied that we weren't drunk, we weren't doing anything disorderly, and he stood his ground, so we left.

Of course, we wrote the incident up and submitted it to the CT, Weaver, and the VTPD that this was no way for the Police to handle themselves, and that they were killing Traditions with all the rules they started imposing (No more Stick it In, no more Number 6). No clue what happened with it, though. Probably nothing.

I'm getting the last-minute urge to go to this game, I still haven't been to ECU.

When receivers enter his coverage zone the Hokie Bird says:
