8th grade in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, about an hour away from where Flight 93 crashed. I saw a plane fly over head that day (that wasn't normal), and I still wonder if I saw Flight 93.
Wait a second... I have a 99 s10 pickup.
You should be able to get the game on the local radio. Strangely enough, I could pick up a Roanoke station (94.9 maybe?) while driving along 64 and 264 towards Greenville and New Bern for work.
This is pure gold.
it moved from 50-50 to 51-49 us in an hour. keep the votes rolling.
Strange, I would have expected you to vacation over on Assateague or Chincoteague Island...
#CapitalOneHokie Most people think the most dangerous land animal is the lion or bear, but it's not. It is the Hokie Bird playing Defensive End - rushing, stamping, and crushing everything in sight...while breathing fire.
When I go to the OBX from either Blacksburg or NOVA, I always left at like 2 or 3 in the morning. Get there at 8 or 9, hang out until the house is open, enjoy life. See the noon game. Gotta make it that early, though, because by 10 or 11 the traffic through NagsHead/KillDevilHills/KittyHawk is killer. And you still have an hour to go until Buxton.
This will only be true if Grant Foster is less annoying than Rex Ryan....and there's a pretty good chance that's the case...so I guess you're justified in changing that equation
I hear Scott Stadium is a good place to watch a Tech game
Jackson Davis elementary, Byrd Middle, and then Godwin High.
Sam Rogers did sled drills this morning, and now we have a new hokie stone quarry.
The wife and I will be in Hoo-ville for a wedding on Saturday, but should be able to hit a bar for lunch and some pre-wedding beers and catch some of the game. Anyone have any suggestions?
Guys I think you are missing to bigger picture here:
1) Beamer probably just learned how to use a computer a couple years ago. Comic Sans is probably the default
2) The letterhead is pretty awesome. Nothing like having a Hokie bird stare at you the whole time you read it
3) I doubt they read it, just see the bad ass Hokie bird and commit
Us Manassholes always had a special place in our hearts for you Fauqers because if you closed school for bad weather, we knew that PWC was going to do the same. You guys set a good standard!
We did this last year. I just kept finding the game on local radio stations from Nothern VA down to Emerald Isle, NC. Given that's it's ECU I can't imagine that you could do the same thing. If you don't control the radio, I'd just find one of the IPS Radio Network stations online and listen to their live stream.
Awwww, c'mon, we just wanna be your new best friends!
I, too, will unfortunately miss this game. I am attending (and presenting at) a conference in Hooville (horrors!) but I will be thinking lots of Hokie thoughts on Saturday. I will probably keep a gamecast going on my phone during the time I'm not actually presenting. Cheer extra hard for me, TKPers!

gotta check in by 4pm at the realty office....kinda a long drive for us...7 hrs. And we will have my baby
niece with us so its already going to be touch and go haha! Otherwise that would have totally been an option.
Or just stop along the way. What's your hurry? You could spare 3.5 hours to watch the game at a restaurant, right?
At Urbana, we alway used to get a kick out of saying 'FaqYour area swim team'. But you guys had Kenny Flory, who pounded us into the ground. We'd win the meet because we had more people, but that kid was sick.
I won't have access to a TV until around 6pm. So TV is out of the question for our game. :(
Damn these noon games!! This is the ONLY bad part of going to the beach. LOL
You should be able to find a radio stream with it since you will be in NC. The other option is to download iHeartRadio and find a station on there that might have it. That's what I've done for games when I'm driving and it works really well. I've found several bowl games and regular season games that way.

I absolutely love the " Did we get him?" picture.
