It's crazy watching someone else's kids grow up. I see the various ones in the programs and am shocked to see how big the next generation of #HokieNation has grown.

It is all about how a player reacts to game speed and game pressure. Some can't handle it. Some thrive on it. The only way you can duplicate is through a scrimmage. Light scrmmages = limited insight into a player's performance in a game setting.

Some don't rachet it up on game day. Some do.

I predict UVA goes 3-9 with all seriousness. They will not go better than 4-8. I could see them losing to anyone but VMI on that schedule. I also see Oregon putting about 130 points up on them.

Friday night: Home Depot trip to prep for house work. Saturday: slept in a bit, then hit the yard. New lawn mower performed beautifully. Weeds pulled. Bushes trimmed back. Chased dogs with assorted lawn tools (always a good time).

Then I finished my preparations and went and proposed to my girlfriend. Celebrations ensued:

Now let's make it an even more epic week and just #beatbama

My opinion is that if you haven't showed it in 8 weeks of practice between Spring and Fall camp (not sure that's the exact number) then you don't deserve a starting spot. Gamer or not, practice hard, play hard.

Can't replace game expericence. Due to light scrimmaging who really knows the most capable 5 in a gamelike situation? Is the basis how they look in drills? Some players look like #$&* in drills but are gamers. No knowing what we have yet really.

Yea, kind of funny how everyone around Benning is now a Bama fan, considering there are four different BCS schools that are actually closer to Columbus than Alabama. When I got here in March of 2011, everyone seemed to be an Auburn fan.
