It was a seen as a huge problem at the time because we hadn't signed any recruits viewed as a true QB since 2010 (with Leal and Young) and left quite a gap at the position. We desperately wanted, and honestly needed, a QB in the class of 2012 and failed (Motley was seen as more of an athlete than a QB prospect in that class). Admittedly there still is some concern at the QB position going forward with Leal being a r-Sr next year, but hopefully Motley can prove everybody wrong under center or Bucky and Ford can come along quickly as young guys.

My brother goes to ASU and is rather proud of the fact that he's been kicked out of every single home game for being drunk.

Those two better stop taking pictures and turn around to watch the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember getting all mad when he decommited from us. Looks like we really didn't miss out on anything here.

You're confused. We beat Michigan. Danny Coale caught the TD pass in OT and we won it. It was all very exciting.

Co-worker? Kathryn Kenney works at a stable?

* Paternos widow, Sue, called Beamer in January to suggest he hire Bill Kenney, one of her husbands assistants at Penn State.

This drew my attention, as I also mentioned to the Kenney family that Bill should get an OL coaching gig with Beamer. After the scandal, it was pretty clear that few of Paterno's former assistants were going to be retained, so I mentioned to Kathryn Kenney (coworker of mine, wife of Bill) that she should tell Bill to call Beamer (naturally, I wanted a new OL coach as we were still in the midst of the O'Cainspring era at the time). I don't think we were rumored to be looking at the time, but I was definitely trying to throw a wrench into the works.

Small town up here.

aww man, pinched nipples, crushed balls, icy hot rubbed in eyes, them boys get downright nasty under there.

If I was an unbiased and lazy gambler, there's no way I would put my money on VT. Let's look at the facts. From the outside looking in, you see:

1. Alabama winning 3 natties in 4 years and destroying all non-SEC teams
2. Alabama plays extremely well when they have extra time to prepare - In 2012, beat Mich 41-14 in opener and beat ND 42-14 in BCSCG
3. Alabama has a great QB, RB and WRs to complement an abusive Defense.
4. VT sucked in 2012, especially away from home going 2-5 with weak wins over BC and Rutgers.
5. Logan Thomas is an interception machine - nearly 1:1 TD to INT ratio
6. Who is VT's RB? - Somebody that has never taken a snap before
7. New Offensive Coordinator is terrible - In his last game as offensive coordinator at Auburn, he lost to Alabama 49-0. "Loeffler's offense" scored 0 points on Alabama.
8. Beamerball is dead - 2 return TDs (1 punt and 1 kick) and 0 punt blocks against FBS in 2012.

But, as VT faithful, we know the stats are skewed and VT will shock all of college football on Aug 31.

EDIT: Corrected 2-7 to read 2-5.
