True, however "In Like Flint" was the outrageously awesome 70's American James bond ripoff that took the original "In like Flynn" line and reused it into a movie title and character. The reason they used Flint instead of Flynn is because "Flynn" references Errol Flynn. And because James Coburn is a badass and liked the name Flint better.

Plus you can't get quality images like that if you search for "In Like Flynn"

Expecting many downvotes. But this is my opinion based on my experiences. A had a great time at VT and luckily avoid any major issues. There is a lot of advice here to "go for it". I saw my share of stupid things people did by "going for it", especially when alcohol was involved. Don't take risks that could lead to permanent bad consequences. You can still have fun without breaking your leg and ankles jumping off a second story balcony (not me but someone I knew). Also, STDs can last a lifetime. Just don't think you are invincible and nothing bad will happen to you. Bad risks can equal bad results. Manage your risks.

If that's true, it's a shame because something got out they didn't want out, and it probably means less access to practice for the casual fan. It's unfortunate the HokieSports folks put the video on YouTube in the first place. It's not like someone who shouldn't have been at practice leaked a tidbit, the video was uploaded to the official YouTube channel. Multiple people tweeted me about it minutes after it was posted.

Interestingly, I had a high school teacher that did the same, so I was well prepared. If you don't get used to it quickly, it is definitely hard to keep up.

Indiana, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech had stadiums of basically the exact same expandable design when they were first built. Wake Forest has obviously kept theirs at 1972 VT size (equal sized grandstands) but now they have a nice new pressbox. Actually I think Indiana's may have had the tall grandstand built from the beginning, rather than being added on later like VT) since their press box is on that side.

Indiana also managed to bowl in one end of the stadium. However if you look at pictures the front endzone row is a good 25+ yrds from the endline because of the angle of curvature of the sideline grandstands. That shallow curve that helps make the sideline seats so great doesn't really suit bowling things in.

Note that Virginia building / fire codes changed before VT could enclose the endzones, hence the reason the south endzone is a standalone structure.

you wouldn't believe how many times I heard this when working at Ho Grill

The downside to this is that paying cash costs more upfront. Meal plans are rolled into everything that goes into your student loans, whereas paying to eat is not.

But yes, cash is a better option if you've got it.

Did he happen to look like this?

The term is actually "In like Flynn".

I had heard stories of professors like that, but I didn't know Tech had one! It's almost not even fair. If you dont write as fast as the professor, you're kinda screwed

True story. I had a professor that was ambidextrous, so he could write continually on the board while moving. What's more, he would erase with one hand while writing new stuff with the other.

Ok, so I emailed my friend and asked if he had any additional insight to provide. He calmly replied just google, so I did. What I found was that Paul Johnson has a history of chop blocking from his first HC position at Georgia Southern. Chop Gate 2009 with the Hokies was not the only time this has come up. In fact, illegal chop blocking is something he has been known for during his entire coaching career, and in the case of Navy a legacy he left to the new coach.

I don't know of ANY other coach that has this type of specific complaint from fans, coaches and conferences as Paul Johnson. Nothing here is definitive I know, but this is only 10 minutes on the google machine, and usually where there is

there is

The biggest mistake you can make while taking notes is thinking you dont need to write something down because it'll be easy to remember. For the love of god, just write it down

Ways to save money:
-Buy/sell texbooks at bookholders are something similar. People bitch about bookholders, but you get WAY more money than the bookstore and it's way more conveniant than selling books on Amazon.
-NEVER buy textbooks before the semester starts. Textbooks are a total scam and half the time you don't even use them. You can also share with someone else if you want. Or just don't get them at all. Hell, I'm an engineer that graduated magna cum laude and I paid for two textbooks total my last two years.
-When you move off campus, it's more financially sound to get commuter cash and add money than to get the minor plan. This is assuming that you're not eating over ~$1000 a semester on campus and you don't go to D2.
-Get two copies of your Hokie P. If your friends are visiting, a Hokie P and a student ticket gets them into football games for way cheaper than a normal ticket. This pays for itself in one use.
-DO NOT GET A PARKING PASS. Only irrational people (girls) buy them. They cost around over $100 a semester, the school sells as many as they can so it's a bitch to find parking, and they are not that much more conveniant than the bus. And if you are foolish enough to get one, get a carpool pass and split it with a friend. It's cheaper and there are more spaces for you to park in.

Other advice:
-don't get a girlfriend
-don't work yourself to death your sophomore and junior years. Senior year will not be that hard. You will have time to party then even if you have a balanced schedule all four years.
-get into honors, then quit your senior year. You get priority scheduling which is SO clutch.

There's other stuff but this is good enough.

Thanks Skipper. Just haven't seen it anywhere yet. I guess I will order online.

It is absolutely imperitive that we establish the run with the RB's before we call a designed run in for LT, whether it's a read option or straight keeper. If he gets blown up early in the game by one of Alabama's 6'4" 250lb LB's we are not going to have a good time.

Yes, that's exactly what I've heard as well. Additionally, every single TD LT3 scored was off of a QB sneak from the 1 yard line against the 3rd string defense, with corners playing DT. Also, I've heard that we run every one of our running backs the same way: straight up the middle. Mangus is a beast running between the tackles.
