YES!! Exactly! I am very embarrassed about this. He must be told to remove it. It is disgusting.

I have the HT's to thank for turning my fandom into a rabid frenzy every gameday regardless of if I am watching it on TV or in Lane.
Particulary HT04 and 05.
Let me tell you, there's no better place during Enter Sandman than on the field in the Band.

Either way, whether it is him or a stock photo, whether its his money or not him....it is really dumb to post this and I would hope that someone in the VT staff or administration would talk to him about this. It just makes him, the team, and the school look bad. As a Hokie, I am embarrassed of this pic being posted. I can see it turning off a recruit also. WHo wants to be associated with a pic like this?
I really hope they take action and advise him about this so it doesn't happen again. The entire world see's what is posted on twitter. Rival recruiters can use this against us...

Seriously, I don't see Brady Taylor and Billy Ray Mitchell posting pictures of cash on Twitter.

We have prided ourselves on being a upstanding program, of having higher standards....right or wrong, his money or not, this can't happen again and he needs to delete the pic.
Rant over...

PS, here is a pic of my crib...
Pile of cash

Concerned, yes. Worried, no. The Defensive front 7 has already beaten GT twice, shutting down that offense pretty efficiently. They should be able to get back to assignment defense in 3 days (1 day of travel). I would be more worried if we had a short week after GT. #ALLTHECHOPBLOCKS

I'm pretty sure they will be getting pumped up for UNC more than preparing for us. From the ACC Media Days, they were talking about how 118 is something that is locker room material for both those teams since the final score of their game last year was 60-58. Both defenses want to prove they are better than that so let them get pumped for that game and go all out for it. I'm not worried.

I know people with decent to good seats on the East side (Row RR-ish, about the 40) that donate a couple thousand annually, in addition to seat prices. There's no way the athletic department could afford to displace all of them.

I believe the way we do ticketing is awful. I know we have beat this to death before, but I think a lottery system would help out tremendously. Football and basketball.

Yeah, I'm not saying its an ideal system. But at least with season tickets, the students that really want to be there every game have the opportunity to be. With the lottery that wasn't the case. I know because I didn't get to go to the FSU game last year, and I'm still pissed about it.

anything happen with this?

If our stadium sat 100,000, I would agree with you. In reality, the older alumni who hold the season tickets over there donate lord knows how much money. Take away their seats and we take away their donations. Money talks more than noisy students.

In the notes from the Richmond Hokie Club dinner, Loefller made a few remarks that made my ears perk up.

The first was that he called Trey his "thumper", and JCC and Mangus his "scat backs". I think it's a good thing that Mangus is even being mentioned, and believe that he may suprise some people this year with his speed. I'm confident that Loefler will look for ways to get his scat backs the ball in space, and won't necessarily rely on them to be zone / 1-cut runners.

The second point he made was that the offensive is emphasizing recruiting and developing a very productive offensive line so he can eventually go and recruit the best national tailbacks and QBs who want to run for and throw for a lot of yards.

Again, we've all said this before, but I'm liking what I'm hearing, and it's a significant departure from the days of O'Cainspring.

I think the biggest mistake isn't the lottery, it is restricting the amount of student tickets. East stands should be all students. period.

During my freshman orientation, I sat in the big lecture hall in Squires and a group of students gave an overview of what a key play was (3rd or 4th down), went over the Let's Go Hokies cheer, and sang the songs for us. Don't know if they still do this or not.

HAHAHA I actually like this. For as much as we dump on him, I can't say I would have taken it as well as he has. That might not be saying much, but he's done it better than I would have. Lucky for Grant Noel that Glennon came to Tech.
