Both Logan and Scott will be highly motivated to put last year behind them. I think we will see a much better effort in 2013 albeit for different reasons from both. They both seem very hungry for success and this desire can be highly motivating. I think both thought success was a given last year and they will both be giving 100+% to ensure success.

I heard somewhere that there's some sort of underground stream or cave system of some sorts under the NEZ that would require some pretty extensive foundation work in order to plop a big concrete structure on the site. No idea if there's any truth to that though.
This was by far the best team game I have seen since OK St. The effort was great and I am certainly proud of our guys. Beat Duke!

In some cases, it would seem, we offer early, they commit early, other schools don't bother wasting the resources to try to sway the kid, and voila! Mid-level three start ranking on a high-end 4 star athletic frame. All based on a lack of offers based on something other than the kid's potential. Don't know how often this is the case, but cds7c's comments made me think of this possibility as one explanation for our 'talent development' skills.
Maybe he can join Brown in Houston and become the best RT in the game to compliment Brown at LT. They can then interview him and he can talk about how he didn't know he was supposed to watch film and that the only reason he had a good senior year is because he read French's write ups which taught him more about OL play than Newsome did.
Honestly I don't know how Painter isn't above Becton other than Becton played more than one season. Painter is going to light it up at the combine and probably go somewhere in the last two rounds.

There is something about Bleacher seats, and a complete section of nothing but students that is what college football is all about.
If the foundations of Merriman would be impacted, that would mean Merriman has the most unique foundations ever constructed. Nowhere would you find a building foundation that extends outward from the structure 100+yards, especially for one that is only a few stories high.
The big rumor I've heard and am unsure as to the validity of is that there are underground waterways that would make the foundation work prohibitively expensive.
We might "sell-out" every game (even that's questionable), but we don't often "attendance-out" (person in every seat). Why expand?

Glad to know I picked a good year to start following our baseball team. I was following the games this weekend but had no clue how good Kent State and UNC-Wilmington were. Good to know we're beating some good teams.
...he needs to be pursued by one of the big boys. Holland Fisher is a great example for last year, he took our offer early and committed. Then he went to camps and wowed everyone, most importantly, Bama. So Bama offered and pursued him and the combination of a Bama pursuit + VT offer/Commit + Camp success pushed his ranking higher and higher.
Still, if Fisher hadn't committed to us early and went to camps and wowed everyone and literally had an offer from everyone in the country, he would have been a 5 star instead of a 4 star.
But offers matter. A lot. And I would be fine if Mihota doesn't get any more.
