I think we established this year that teaching old dogs new tricks is a recipe for disaster.
Agreed. I'm wondering what are the chances that the meeting was just a discussion of how to revamp the offense rather than a discussion about him potentially coming to VT. Either way, it is showing that Beamer wants to try to make a change to the offense.
just a heads up....espn is already calling for bama to 3peat and be favorites to win next year. guess they didnt hear about #beatbama
I have something in mind, not a countdown clock, but something else I think people will like, a take on what we usually do here in the offseason.
Thanks. I am a Student, but I wasn't able to get a ticket to the ACC title game last year because they sold out so quickly (had to buy on in the Clemson section).
I'm just scared that if we lose one of their fans will rub his nuts on someone's face.
Remove the empty trophy case. Replace it with a picture of 'bama hoisting the national title. BEATBAMA.
haha, that's the opposite of every other neutral site game VT goes to...
....emailed the contact at the C-Fil-a Kickoff web site and got a reply that said they anticipated selling only through the schools. The reply was silent on the sale date despite me specifically asking, so I'm assuming they haven't set a date.
Unless you're a season ticket holder or student, I'm guessing you will be getting these on StubHub for $200+. Apparently there is a high cost to see Saban kicked off his high horse.
I live in the Upstate in SC and can tell you that local sports writers feel this kid has great potential. Although he does not play in my area and I have seen footage and would agree with their assessment. Of course how well he would do at Tech will depend on who coaches the offense in the future.
Anyone know when tickets go on sale? I know they're not out now, but I want to get them through Tech because anywhere else is going to be way too expensive.
Hope he will just call the coaches...
Well, he's not going to get a good education at UNC haha
count-down clocks were silly, but I am starting to see some value in an official BEATBAMA clock situated somewhere on this site. Joe - whaddaya think?
Well said
....now, whose job was to tell Brian that Monday is here (and gone)? This is the column I'm counting on to tell me what Pep had for dinner last night (and it had better be turkey) and how much weight Frank has lost worrying about how to tell the old guard they're being relieved of their duties. But, just wait until tonight to post and maybe you can actually recap how it all went down.
I've always believed that if you can get pressure on any quarterback then they'll make mistakes. That's why I think if we can get some pressure on him he'll make the mistakes that our secondary can pounce on.
I think that the secondary will be the key to beat Alabama.
They need to be disciplined enough to stay home on playaction, and they need to be physical enough to come up in run support. Frankly, I don't think Jarrett or Bonner is physical enough to consistently tackle Lacy in the open field right now - here's to hoping they both can put on 20 lbs this summer.
More like Exum has to be able to handle Cooper and shut him down while Edwards, Tyler, and RVD shut down Lacy/Yeldon/Henry or whoever the bully of a running back they have lines up back there. I hope Lacy goes pro but things are still tough with everyone behind him after seeing Henry kill it in the All-American game this past weekend.
I think Alabama is going to be a high powered offense next year. McCarron is one of the better quarterbacks I've seen (despite his crying), so if our D-Line can win that battle and get some pressure on him we might be able to get the upset.
Someone has to step up to challenge Saban and 'bama. Coaches are the first step. Then a top recruiting class. Saban is eating everyone's lunch right now.
I thought Al Gore invented the internet...This internet thing is confusing...
a massive case of dysentery to sweep through the Bama locker room the day before the game.

The Frankinator means business and I love it.
