Couldn't watch, but FAM!
He has done enough that I renewed my season tickets for next year. There had been a big internal debate.
Tried real hard to give that one away in the closing minute(s). They get unbelievably sloppy with late leads. Equal parts infuriating and confounding. Still, held on for a Q1 win. Infinitely better than a close Q1 loss but holy shit would it be nice for the final minute to not be agonizing once in a while.
All that said, FAM!!! Let's GOOOOOO!!!

Need to clean up the end of game play but it's fun seeing a team that is capable of beating anyone (including themselves right now unfortunately). Mike Young has a versatile roster, that I believe has a chance to get better and better as season goes on. Defense is improving and these guys grind and bounce back. So quit you're crying and dig in, GO Hokies!!!

Also, that WAS a kick and should have been called a Technical. Good on CMY not lighting up the ref when they declared that one. I would have cost us a T myself.

Can we get a clip of Neo lining up for a three late in the game, early in the shot clock, in front of our bench, and everyone yelling "no!"? I was right there with them.
The exact language there would not be enforceable. A third party is not bound to a clause in a contract that they did not agree to. You could just put the punitive payment directly on the player, if they are willing to agree to it.
That's why collective bargaining or enforceable inter-institutional bylaws would be ideal. NFL teams don't notoriously tamper because if they get caught, the NFL punishes them. There's just nothing in college football to truly enforce a fair playing field across the institutions.
I'm right there with you man. I'd expand it to the whole of games. We are so wildly inconsistent, and that falls squarely on coaching. Either you aren't coaching them well enough to establish an identity to where they know how to execute in every situation, or your coaching is so specific to individual situations that the players can't figure out quickly enough how they should execute. Either way, it has been embarrassing this year. And it's a bad year for that to happen...fan engagement is dwindling at the same time where we can't afford to put in the financial resources to support the level of program the university likes to think it is.

Once is explainable, twice...maybe, but this is like 4 of the last 5 games....
This is a coaching problem and CMY has done jack and shit to solve it.
Step 1: Neo should never play the last 3 minutes
Step 2: no shots with more than 10 secs on the shot clock
Step 3: 100 FT at the end of practice every day until the team is shooting 75% or better.
