Looking to jump on someones tailgate. I will be there in the gold lot #2 right behind Stage AE, very close right next to the stadium. It's only going to be 2 of us going so we are not taking a grill, food etc. Willing to chip in for food...we will have plenty of beer if anyone doesn't mind chilling out w/ a couple of Hokie Fans. I also have 2 club level tickets (Section 209) and 3 upper deck tickets if anyone is interested or needs tickets. If you have never been to Hienz for a College Game even though it's an NFL Stadium in the past the only place you can drink beer inside the stadium for PITT Games is in the club level and u must have tickets for that level to go there. Pretty sure that rule hasn't changed. It's the 200 sections.

Ezell returned from suspension to start against Cincy, and Donald started both games, so I think you've been given bad information there.

Guess I'm just confident. If you have the funds for it, it's worth it - ACCCG has pretty much sold out the past two years since the move to Charlotte aka clemson & fsu fans will gladly give you your money back and then some #stubhub if we dont make it... BUT we will.

The team isn't going to play any worse because fans buy tickets haha.

Also, we're going to smash Pitt. GO HOKIES!

I think you mean scalded dog. And from what I've heard Dadi isn't solid on what he's supposed to be doing yet, so I don't know how much Wiles will trust him to be out there. Loved his energy, though.

i'm extremely superstitious and will not get the tickets until we lock in the acccg. i've waited the the past two years i won't even think about looking towards that time of year this year with clemson and fsu coming up. as cheap as they are now it's not worth it. lets get past pitt and go from there

If you pay attention, you'll notice that I said we'll win at least one game against clemson or fsu... which means I think we'll lose at most one game this regular season... which means that we would have the same record as gt if they win out... which means we would win the coastal EVEN IF GT BEATS CLEMSON... which means I think VT will win the coastal but not because clemson will beat gt

the clemson>gt thing is just insurance, and clemson does have a new d coordinator this year btw

against GT last year? Where does your confidence come from? I think VT will win the coastal, but not because Clemson will beat GT.

So many QBs are more comfortable and at ease in the 2-minute drill. Last week in the NFL, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning were terrible in a huddle offense, but excelled in the no-huddle.

I looked for statistics in scoring breakdown by minute, but couldn't find it. However, I am willing to bet there are more points scored in the last 2 minutes before halftime than any other 2 minute period. Thus, it's not a VT O'Cainspring phenomenon, but general phenomenon in football and why many teams are going to no huddle in all phases of the game.

I, for one, am a proponent for mixing in no huddle in non-2 minute situations, but not full-time. VT's backbone is defense, and the more minutes our offense is on the field, the more fresh the defense is.

2011 - UVA
2010 - UVA, Duke, Wake

Yea, so, they can get up early and dominate, but it is pretty rare. And, then in some games, (i.e. Duke in 2011, 2009), it's painful how they let the game stay so close.

I feel confident that we will win at least one of the games against clemson and fsu, most likely the latter...

and that gt will lose to clemson

I understand I'm jumping the gun a bit but I feel very confident we'll win the coastal

Not telling anybody to go buy tickets right now, just something I wanted to share in case there were like minded Hokies on the site

but at that price, you'll be able to unload them pretty easy to cover the cost -- so why not. will just be a bit of a headache to dump 'em.

might be a bit too soon for that man .. we play fsu and clemson this season .. if we drop both of those games and gt wins out in the acc, they're in .. gt plays clemson on 10/6 and we've got unc that day. i think it's fair to say that if we win that game and gt loses, that we'll win the coastal .. don't think we'll drop any games to duke, uva, miami, or bc

Well, the wrong Daniels showed up. Going the wrong direction again in week 3. Glad I'm not putting money on these...

Actually, Tyrone Ezell was the only starter suspended. All five others were reserves.

I was born on the West Coast as the son of a Navy helicopter pilot and ended up moving to Chesapeake, VA in 92' or 93'. My dad went to the Naval academy after getting caught drinking in highschool and being pressured by my grandfather(who was Army) to do so. My older brother went to James Madison University so I had no ties to VT. In high school I used to drive up to JMU all the time by myself or with a friend to go party at JMU. I'm not going to lie, I loved JMU. As a junior and senior in high school to be able to go party with my older brother at a college was the best thing that happened to me since I dunno.. Diablo II or maybe even Donkey Kong for SNES.

Anyway, senior year of high school in 05' I decided to apply to JMU since my brother went there and I had a blast visiting. I also applied to VT because a bunch of my friends were going there and I was told you should apply to more than one school. I got into JMU early so it was a done deal I would go to JMU until I found out I also got into VT. At the time I was only a NFL fan so the Athletics had nothing to do with my decision. I ended up deciding to go to VT to "make my own path" away from my brother even though a bunch of my friends were going to VT. At the time I hadn't even been to VT but it turned out to be the best 'blind' decision of my life.

To put a perspective on how little I knew about VT-- during orientation in 05' a bunch of people had "Who needs a mercedes when you have a Beamer" shirt on and I asked a fellow Hokie also being oriented what the hell that meant. Wrong question to ask at a VT orientation... Since then I have been thoroughly schooled on VT Football during my four years attending and 7+ years now going to as many games as possible. Basically, since my first game at Lane I have ate, slept, and breathed Hokie Football. Turkey Legs and football, that's what Virginia Tech does!

Side note - My dad and my older brother are now VT football fans (of course, my brother was a JMU fan during the game that I refuse to speak about. He was happy for the win but more upset that it ruined VT's season) and now my little brother is a Junior at VT. I and my family will always be Hokies!

Outside of VT Football I like running, playing soccer, the Chargers, the Nats, the Caps, IPA, bourbon and ginger and I live in Reston, VA.

is irrelevant. Their starting tackles did not play in the first two games, but will be available tomorrow along with 3 other starters.

Really appreciate the praise. And we are working on Bill for later on in the season, so that should be an awesomely long one when it happens. Again, thanks for the kind words!

however, the old axiom about "three things can happen when you pass and two of them aren't good" comes to mind. If we set up the run with the pass, ok, I can accept that. But I really enjoy games where we ram the ball right down the throat of the opponent. You demoralize them when you're getting first downs on the ground on 2nd and five. Converting 3rd downs and keeping drives alive on the ground. (and can we have less wide receiver screens, please?....maybe a double move off of one?) What I want to see is a dominating performance by the OL.

Defensively, after watching Nicholas last week, I'm all for putting him in as a pass rusher...the dude has some serious talent, if they can get him up to speed on schemes, look out. One has to worry a little about telegraphing what we're doing if it isn't an obvious passing situation, though.

that Bonner's grammar is (at least) partially due to the character limit and isn't a reflection on his academic performance, or he won't be available later due to his grades.
