I'm stealing this to put it on my facebook.

Lane Stadium North. That is all.

I just watched the Boykin TD again. I stand by it. There is no way Taylor hits Boykin on a double move over three backers in stride. Taylor would have pulled the ball down, gotten up field rolling left under Becton's block, and attempted to hit Boykin moving from right to left towards the back pylon. The play may have still resulted in a TD, but I don't buy Taylor, especially at his height, making that throw in rhythm.

If the Hokies get stopped on 4th down, or if GT gets a stop after the penalty, GT wins the game. The biggest play of the game was the Hokies guessing right on the GT 4th down and one play. Again, if GT runs a toss play or a triple option and the QB keeps, we could be lamenting now. There were several absolutely huge plays after the penalty (4th and 1, plus the FB stops beforehand, the Drager TD, the Hokie 4th down before the Drager TD. The entire Hokies drive that chewed up 5-6 minutes that resulted in a field goal) where if Georgia Tech made a play, we could have had a different ballgame. VT's playcalling, and clear size and athleticism advantage on offense, coupled with one stand by the defense, ground GT up.

That is why the UNC game scares me. They don't have the depth, and appear to have a ton of quit in them. But, they have the kind of Grade A athletes on defense (plus the big WR) that give the Hokies fits. Unless the team has quit on the coach, this game is pretty much their Super Bowl. Thursday night. Big crowd. National TV. They can stick it to all their detractors and then head off to the NFL draft with some good film to go with their measurables.

Everywhere I go I keep seeing people saying the Attachou punch lost the game for GT. There's no question that it was a momentum shift, but to not credit the Hokies for everything they did following seems a bit disingenuous. Thoughts?

You do pretty damn good. I ain't got the facilities to be able to do real pulled pork anymore; used to do it in the backyard, actually, in a pit in the ground; my dad used to do beef brisket, pulled pork, etc.

Blacksburg doesn't need a French subsidiary unless we're planning some thorough ethnic/cultural cleansing.

Best comment written so far. Colin Cowherd esque.

I am happy to defend my point. Most of Tyrod's passes came from his ability to extend plays, which allowed coverages to break down, leaving wide receivers wide open. The play versus Stanford is a classic example. Many of his deep passes against Florida State were of a similar ilk. There was a play in the first half against Florida State where Danny Coale was open on the deep left sideline long enough for me to yell "COALE IS OPEN" three times as Taylor scrambled before he hit Coale downfield. Taylor made the play, but his movement allowed him to make the throw. He wasn't a guy who would stand in the pocket and throw on a precise three, five, or seven step drop in rhythm. Other curl and short out routes, you could just about count on two hands the number of post, slant, deep out, ect routes that Taylor threw in rhythm. I loved Tyrod Taylor, but that wasn't his game. He looked to one man routes, generally towards the sidelines where he had one on one coverage. It worked, but it doesn't mean that he didn't have limitations of his game.

Also, go back and watch film, especially of Tyrod as a first and second year starter. The Hokies ran a much simpler offensive package. He certainly was not given as much audibling responsibility nor nearly as many intermediate throws against zones in the middle of the field.

Both guys have proven to be playmakers who can make up for the mistakes of others to keep drives alive. That value can't be discounted. But, you have to be fair when you compare the two. Other than Taylor's electric scrambling ability, Logan Thomas right now is a MUCH better QB than Taylor was as a sophomore. Logan has to improve his pocket presence, and downfield vision. But, his physical style of play, better arm, and ability to look over the pass rush to hit receivers in stride elevates him.

SHOW UP AT 1:30 PM

50% again....That's what I get for picking who I like or rather see lose.

I think I may take the Balki Bartokomous method of picking next time.

Take it easy...it is an opinion and you obviously disagree. There is no need to make personal attacks.

My opinion is that Logan is much more accurate QB than Tyrod; however, Tyrod had a hell of a pocket presence and running game. Logan is developing greatly and is now comparable to Tyrod in that respect. Overall, I believe that Logan is a better QB than Tyrod ever was.

A good amount of the hoos that see the end of this video, will show up for a 1:30 game, have a few zimas and wonder why there isn't a game going on, and leave.....

...I have to live with these kind of folks on a daily basis.

After 8 in a row, could we petition to make Charlottesville an annex of Blacksburg?

What in the SAND HILL where you watching the last four years of VT football?????????? Tyrod Taylor CAN COULD & MOST OF ALL DID make every throw in the book along with a few ONLY he could make "The TD agaisnt Standford". Forcus on what Logan is doing but dont make yourself sound STUPID with dum a#$ comments like that...

those aren't panning still shots, but actual live video of their "energetic" fans jumping around to the "who oh oh oha oh oh" during kickoff. It's just really hard to tell the difference coach.

One or two posts I had my eye on in particular. And I should be fair, it's one of the reasons I hang out here rather than some other Hokie boards I've been on. Much more good-natured here, and in the spirit of an actually rivalry than a hate fest. I shouldn't lump you guys in with assholes who you guys probably find obnoxious, too, else you probably wouldn't be around here.

Like I said, my primary wish would be for UVA and VT to dominate college sports side by side- football, basketball, etc. That's why I can't do anything but wish well on any attempt to get folks out to see the games- for either team, any sport.

I have ready every comment and I see people enjoying a slight pick at what many people consider a rival. I have never meanly teased a Hoo fan, just had fun with them. I reserve all my hate for the cousins.

I can honestly say that every time S-EEEEE-CEE fans hear techno music, they jokingly jump around and say, "This is ACC football!!! WOO!!" I hate that techno immediately makes them think of ACC teams playing in a 30% capacity stadium. Personally I just hate techno. It's fucking annoying! Especially since South Cackalack, Kentucky, and Ole Miss all play this crap too. Anyway fellow Hokies, just know that I'm down here, behind enemy lines, pushing the stereotypes in the right direction...towards Maryland, Miami, GiT, NCST (is it just me that reads that and thinks it's an abbreviation for "incest"?...I digress), and of course, UVfuckinA.

Go Hokies!

Hope they sneak some extra Zima into the stadium to enjoy for those two hours before kickoff.

this. is just. ridiculous.

This is a student-run and produced thing, you guys know that, right? Heck, the students ought to be proud of the football team this year, if they want to do something like that, more power to 'em. Especially with the crap Groh put us through. I don't share all the sentiments of the video, of course- specifically, I want both UVA and VT to dominate the ACC, I want Commonwealth football to be second to none, and show everyone that Texas, Florida, Georgia, California, et cetera, ain't all it's cracked up to be and we can compete with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Even with Virginia Tech's success, you stroll through any SEC, B1G, PAC-12, etc, board and see just what they think of Virginia Tech- it's somewhere barely above Boise State in their opinion, successful "on a steady diet of cupcakes" and "overrated as hell". Look, they rated the fucking MWC higher than the ACC this week. The classy fuckers on the Alabama board I occasionally venture on, which is akin to 4chan's /b/ in my opinion, love to still make 4-16-2007 jokes.

But, you know, whatever, guys. I come here because I'm still a Tech fan and I like to keep up with Tech sports, and I love the humor and analysis done here, the folks I've met here are of the decent sort. But it still sucks to see the hate- and I call it out on UVA boards when I see it, too. Just my two cents.

Uva is like china at the Olympics. Both win at sports that nobody gives a shit about and then brag like they are the greatest sports school/country ever. Bro nobody cares about lacrosse or soccer or tennis.
