the cartoon when it came out originally.
...burns on the way out.
Thank you.
I'm really excited to watch my first basketball game of the season tonight and look forward to watching many of the highly touted freshman on the roster this year. I agree that Green should sit out again tonight and ultimately hope he can get healthy for the rest of the season (ACC play), caring much less about the opening round of the preseason NIT. And as always I can't wait to giggle the first time I see Seth tear off his coat jacket in frustration.
I got a good chuckle from that sentence as well!
WORD to the UP
Last sentence on Logan Thomas made me snort my beverage.
Seems like that "Minor setback for a major comeback" from a few years ago is a recurring theme with this program. Won't win us a national title, but we're enjoying a lot of wins and some good football.
I can't help it but every time I hear Danny Coale's name now it's ALWAYS in the voice of the announcer during the Nebraska vs. VT game:
"He's got a man open! DANNY COALE!!!" forever and ever.
I've been really impressed with how the team is coming together. We may have suffered a loss to Clemson but I think it was an effective wake-up call.
I couldn't imagine having a greater responsibility when I was there age other than maybe being in the military.
Great job Hokies...definitely looking forward to closing out the year with all wins!
we should send him a gift basket
I must have watched the replay of that cheap shot about 20 times, noticed that #11 came in for a cheapie too. Fired up big time. Logan is such a beast, gave that boy a piggie back ride.
Proud of our guys for keeping their composure afterwards, thought a brawl might've broken out.
Hokies Dammit!
Check out the timing and accuracy necessary for that pass that Logan makes in the clip above. Logan is comfortable!
Whitley's "power bomb" tackle was absolutely awesome!
Coale's 2nd catch was absolutely incredible. Throw the ball anywhere in his direction and he makes the catch!
Can't wait to see Thursday nights game.
Let's Go...
I wasn't trying to slight Becton who had his best game as a Hokie against Georgia Tech even though he only graded at 85% and didn't get a knockdown. Rather, I wanted to focus on the starters because four of them are seniors and I won't be able to give them props next season.
LOL!!
Not enough giant robot lions. Maybe I should have used the power rangers and made him the Green Ranger.
Munchie did well considering the atmosphere/pressure, the fact that they were down 10 to a decent team, AND the fact that he threw a pick on his first series. Takes a lot of courage to shake that off and lead a team to almost win a game. Also, I gave credit to Butch Jones (cincy's coach) and his offensive team for adjusting their game plan so well on the fly considering their last two quarterbacks (tony pike and collaros, respectively) were pocket passers and munchie is "dual threat." I can't say that they will definitely win their last three and the big east, but I feel better about it than I did when Munchie first went in. I also think WVU will drop the backyard brawl and they will become a moot issue in the end. Rutgers is now the key game.
@TKP good seeing you too man; it was definitely a surprise haha.
Well I guess this is my punishment for going backpacking this weekend and not watching a single game on Saturday....or this is my predictable mid season slide.
The Gif wins it...one of the best I have seen!
That guy's an anchor. Our boys seemed to have settled down the hiccups. Nothing but high motor and execution.
and Becton. How could you forget Becton?
The success of any team offensively is line play. In exercise/training terms, these are your core muscle group. If your belly is flabby, even if your legs are incredibly strong, you won't be at your best.
Received this by email today.

But one can dream...one can dream.
Is it possible that LT3 jumps to the NFL after next year?

There are two key positive takeaways from the second half. First, the Hokies used almost exclusively I formation run blocking, even out of one back sets. The Hokies blocked guys down, kicked guys out, and drove folks off the ball. I can only remember one zone run besides the shotgun zone read plays in the entire second half. The Hokie offensive line was absolutely dominant in all facets of the game, and they went back to the old Beamer identity of physical dominance. Yet, they used unique formations and play design to confuse the GT defense. We saw more toss plays in this game than we saw all year. Those tosses came from multiple formations. VT effectively used multiple tight end looks and effectively blocked. Eric Martin had his best game of the year. That was fantastic.
Second, Logan Thomas wasn't asked to make many throws, but when he was, he was accurate down the field. He was OUTSTANDING all night changing running plays at the line. He was able to read Al Groh's "Hoody"-style scheme and get the Hokies in the right play. As I have said many times, he has WORLDS more responsbility than Tyrod Taylor had as a sophomore, and even a senior Tyrod Taylor doesn't make the touchdown throws to Boykin and Coale.
My only negative takeaway was the lack of play action. The Hokies were dominant in the running game, forcing Georgia Tech to blitz safeties and corners on the last two drives to stop the Hokies. There was an opportunity for the dagger, or at least to get the DBs to back off, and O'Cainspring played it a bit too close to the vest. They won, but a smattering of play action can only help the running game get better.
