1 for 1 on Costanza picks. Might be something to this...

My end score prediction was the exact same....hopefully we can pull it out. gonna be a good one.

On paper Exum seems like the best matchup for Allen, so I see him playing the role of Rover/strong safety and Whitley going back and playing free.

I wonder if Hill and Fuller will both play Nickel. Have Fuller at almost Nickel / Whip in run situations, how he played last season, and Hill as the Nickel back on passing downs.

If the front four can control their gaps I really like our chances.

Pitt, 'cause they're the shit. who in FL cares?

Cackalackin'
clempsum (VT to win, but not cover)...clempsum hasn't warmed up the bus yet, hell, to even leave campus. I'm ever-so-waiting for BOTH SC teams to deflate down the stretch.......both have it in 'em to be good; both have it in 'em to piss away a good start (SC more than Clempsum). Clempsum coach acted like he won the damn super bowl after beating 'burn....then did it again after beating 'dadgummit boy I can find you's old team. They're a talented group; just hope they get distracted because they have a new coach's travel routine, and Bud's D can score and get under their skin. Hope special teams don't kill their chances.

Again my strategy is to pick the team that I want to lose.

South Florida - Gotta have ACC loyalty... Go PITT (that hurts to say)
Arkansas - I'll be rooting for Texas Version of VT again this week
South Carolina - Hoping Auburn can pull the upset so we can move up after a big Clemson beat down!
Clemson - I think VT rolls in this one, just like every other time we have played Klempsun
Alabama - Here's hoping those bamers lose
Wisconsin - Camp Randall will be rocking, but hoping the Huskers pull off the win

my question is, does Clemson use lots of dive fakes? that stops penetration (which is why Georgia Tech scares me much more than Clemson)

So, we can guess that the Hokies will go back to the 4 man line nickle look. I would guess that Exum will be on the tight end. Does that mean that they will play man free with Whitley playing centerfield? That leaves the Hokies front six to stop Clemson's running game. That is where the game will be won or lost.

Our Defense wont shut down this offense. They'll move down the field. However, keeping Sammy Boy from YAC and Dwayne Allen humble while keeping them off rhythym are our best chance. We need stellar Offensive froduction that goes tit-for-tat. If ahead and we make them come from behind we have a better chance in this hostile atmosphere.

South Florida. I might pick Pitt if Sunseri wasn't so bad.
Arkansas. I have no reason for this.
Auburn. USC will win but their struggles continue.
Clemson. I expect a close game and VT's special teams worry me entirely too much to pick them.
Bama. Haven't seen much of either team yet this season but think Bama can neutralize UF's offense.
Wisky. Russell Wilson has another good game and picks up a big win. Tom O'Brien loses his job at season's end as a result.

It'll be confiscated and, at worst, can confuse the players. Remember those guys in the stripes use whistles.

Nicely put vtnerf. Even more motivation to beat them into the ground again this year regardless of whether or not it was a mistake on the part of FOX.

Of course it's awesome and enticing to do so, but the conditions have to be right for it. In 2006 we were an underdog and unranked and gave CJ Spiller's Tigers all they could handle in a win that would get us back into the Top-25 and headed for a shit-the-bed performance in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

Nebraska in 2009 was an emotional, we're-out-of-it/holy-shit-we-just-won-it game, but it still didn't quite pass the field-rushing test. The game last year against an unranked GT was punctuated with David MF Wilson running faster than Usain Bolt, and, following the game, I was embarrassed to be in Lot 2 drinking a Miller Lite only to hear the PA announcer ask fans to leave the field. What the hell were the fans doing on the field? Sure, great endings to both games, but still not enough reason to get on the Worsham Field turf.

Saturday is different. Now, we're both ranked and Clemson is a better team with two wins over ranked teams, one of which was in-conference. We were lucky to get out of Greenville with a win and faltered against Arkansas State. I'm just saying that, in perspective, this is not a field-rushing victory. This is, at best, a drink-your-bourbon-and-Coke-and-thank-sweet-Christ-and-His-son-Bud-Foster victory.
