My first mascot mock. more to come.

I agree that ZM95 needs to be more physical. I think he and DPM90 could be studs on that line for years to come.

And you're absolutely right about LT3 lowering that shoulder. Just need to keep him healthy and taking steps forward each week. This Saturday is going to be very, very revealing.

About CJ89. I don't mean to be too harsh on the guy, but we need him to be automatic. He's on scholarship!

Another coming later, when I have access to my beloved mac preview. For the record, Windows 7's MS Paint blows hard.

You are absolutely correct! the game was boring and the only fun thing to watch was our defense. Once again the defense was stifeling. The starters are looking good. You mention a couple of the second stringers. Tyrel made a couple of nice plays. Zack Mccray was no where to be found and truefully, the kid is just not physical enough. You also mention Duan Perez-Means as not being notice , thats only because he was not in the game. Wow! Go figure. I would like to see him on the field more often. I watched this guy in the spring game and camp, now he is a physical player with skills. Logan Thomas has to be very careful about lowering his shoulder and running the ball, we need him in the game, what I would like to see more of is for LT to step out the pocket and move a little more and become more of an accurate passer. I hope we can get it together by saturday and put some numbers on the board. Josh .O is looking good and performing well. I think it would be nice to have Josh and David Wilson in at the same time for a couple of plays.Go Hokies!!!

Set for 3:30pm. On ABC. I don't know if this has been mentioned on this site or not.

I'm not here to be a Negative Nate, but I haven't had the nervousness in my stomach like I get when Cody Journell steps in to kick since Ol' No. 7 (http://www.seanglennonloans.com/info/about.rad) started taking snaps. Seriously, Uncle Frank needs to call Bill Belichick and get his top-5 4th down plays faxed down to Worsham Field. I'd rather give Scales the ball to truck a 2- or 3-yard gain on 4th than let Journell swing his leg. Can't somebody work with Justin Myer on accuracy to get him all the kickoff/FG/PAT duties? Shayne Graham isn't doing anything right now...

And, of course, GGIII. Yes, I want him standing over a dude yelling "George George" like he's doing a Shatner impersonation from "Boston Legal" ("Denny Crane!").

I'll be watching the Hokies from the Hooters at the Tropicana in beautiful downtown Atlantic City, NJ. I know anybody that is going to Blacksburg is jealous.

I requested that Magduffs work on a Cornell shirt from the ESPNU AllAccess. If she gets to it, it could be a possibility for later this season.

As I pointed out to a few folks on twitter, the line opening at -7 was a great sign. It means that Vegas wants people to throw money at Clemson and wanted to give them the room to do so. This means that they think the Hokies are going to win and cover. Everyone is going to be putting money on Clemson at the opening and I am sure the line will move closer to -5 or even -4 by Saturday.

Then again...this is probably as close as UVA will ever get to beating a Conference USA team.

Why was he not a touchback machine this week? It didn't look like it was all that windy there, and he was getting not-touchbacks in each direction. Was this some funky new strategy or just an off day?

Overall, kicking looked terrible. Pride & Joy it ain't, folks.

WEST END BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAPS

THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT

Has to be a woo in the control room. Someone would have to override the database.

yeah, it's a crappy situation at UNM right now. will be interesting to see how many of their probably two dozen DC-area/east coast players transfer with their head coach (who had DC roots) gone. i'll keep an eye out for you.

If we have DW or JO in for only certain situations and formations the play calling will be too predictable and will get stuffed every time. See further discussion below.

That They are trying to save the redshirt on Brandthover as long as possible in order for him to get his accuracy down

Based on the opponents I think everyone expected the last two games to be blowouts. We certainly got off to fast starts, then cooled down considerably. One thought, maybe we are holding back some on offense? Even though it was our closest win I think we opened up the playbook the most against Marshall. Logan Thomas was as much, or more a part of the running than passing game. Things were tight, and the offense absolutely needed him carrying the ball and gaining tough yards consistently. In the other three games, not so much. Notching blowouts in games no one nationally cares about isn't a good reason to expose LT3 to more hits, that's my logic at least.

Coming into the season everyone knew the first four games were going to serve as a learning opportunity for LT3, a chance to get his feet wet throwing the ball. It wasn't supposed to be pretty. He's raw, but is getting better each week.

One thing I heard over and over again during the Stinespring years was how good of a team Tech would be if we could pair just a top 50 offense with Bud's defense. Well the scoring offense is ranked 40th nationally, scoring defense 6th. I'm excited to see what that looks like come Saturday.

roc charmicheal with a shoulder injury. and i thought he was going to have a year in a weak houston secondary. bad news hope he gets heathly soon and is ready to go next season.
