Awesome, I was thinking about doing a Marco Polo joke but couldn't figure out what to do!

I think will set the tone for most of the season. I dont see the Offense digging out of defecits of 10 or more like TT was able to. Good points!

But I worry about every game so take it FWIW.

The emotion of the day and 3:30 kickoff will boost their crowd. A top 15 team from a BCS conference is in town... this is their super bowl. I hate playing games like this and ECU on the road.

Injuries and depth on OL are a concern for me as is the fact that Boykin is out.

I think our D should dominate but we need to strike early and often on O. If we let them hang in there then it becomes another ECU like nail biter.

I hope our WRs and TEs have worked all the dropped balls out of their system. If we can stretch the field with some passing yardage early, they'll have to play DW and JO honest. 2 quick scores in Q1 and some tough play by the D and it will be smooth sailing. Early struggles on O and any sort of turnovers and they are going to hang with us.

This will be a repeat of Appy State. Too many saw "cupcake" over and over with ECU and Ark State to undervalue those teams. Both of their defenses werent spectacular but ECU was the first road game against a pretty tough crowd coming off an emotional USCe loss. Ark State made us one dimensional for the most part but LT proved he can make good reads when his Receiver is 1 on 1 barring those two unfortunate picks. Marshall is an away game and the last of the highly favorable games we play but I think Frank and co WANT and SHOULD make a statement here.

This is a little overzealous but I dont see Marshall getting over 7 points. A mistake in our own territory may cause few points but the match ups are majorly in our favor on D. The strength of the Marshall line are with the tackles and possibly center. The brother's Hopkins will have ample opportunity to get in the backfield unless constantly double teamed. Even then I see enough pressure to force the Frosh QB into tough passing situations. Their 1st string back is a bit of a bruiser but D Line and LB corps shouldnt allow anything of note. As we push this group to try and air it out will make the most opportunity for Buds Defense. They have no real stellar WR that Jayron will have to cover exclusively and as history repeats itself I see major dominance by Bud against a fresh out of the box quarterback. Im truly excited to see this group in action.

Offensively Im not sure what team we'll see. A W is right for the picking but how dominantly will we show the doubters that LT is improving thusly increasing the /hype-o-meter is up in the air, literally. Many teams have caught on to the whole throw 6-7 bodies up front to try and prevent DW from going bananas. With this development I think it absolutely crucial that we allow LT to lob the ball on a play action or even create separation via screen. Throwing in space through the middle has caused some concern due to accuracy issues but a few dump and dinks along with the deep threat will allow our RB's to clean up in the 3rd and fourth. Its our last game to kind of fine tune our identity. Balance was easily attainable in the first game then we seemed to flip flop in the subsequent two. I know there is concern with both Dyrelle and Jarrett both out for this matchup but D.J. Coles has been in the waiting to really show his stuff. The guy already has a shade under the century mark along with a TD. As far as Danny goes, we know the answer there. What i'd like to see however is more use of those speedy TE's and Screens to DW. Randall Dunn shouldnt have dropped that pass but I see potential there along with the awesomely named GEORGE GEORGE.

My only caveat is Special Teams. Frank's confidence still lies in Demler who can surely hang it up there except for the fact that the only guy to get less yards per punt was back in 59. Brutal. If we want a dominant showing we cant punt 35 yards allowing their star returner to bring it back 20-25. Field position in away games is crucial and we have to be up and away early. Especially with Journell missing some that should be somewhat easier kicks. I think this squad needs the biggest improvement and of highest concern going forward but we play one game at a time.

Prediction: We open up the playbook a little followed by a consistent dominating Defense.

45 -3. At least one or two TD's from the D/Returns.
