For me, basketball stays on the back burner until football season is over. I like to savor my oblong.

Wow getting these picks in an a Thursday afternoon sucks b/c it means I haven't had anything alcoholic to drink yet. So these picks will either all be right on, all wrong or I will continue in 50% mediocrity. I have blocked off my calendar for 3:00 pm PST on so that I can take care of my dogs and get to the bar early. So these picks are brought to you by coffee bought at Cafe Vita. Yeah, there are coffee shops in Seattle, only about 14 of them within a 10 block radius of me.

Baylor - Griffin is really good and about 15 years younger than the Okie State's qb. I am afraid that there will be a letdown by the Bears so my gut tells me Okie State, that's why I am pulling an Opposite George and going with Baylor.

Frogs - I would rather see Utah play Oregon and TCU play Texas but oh well. I think TCU is ready to shine and they already have the backstabbing chip on their shoulder after their loss to Boise last year. Let the non-AQ Love/Hate begin, Gossip Girl style. (I wish I knew photoshop)

Bama - The hat is slowly showing his true self. His clock management, his choice of qb's, his offensive coordinator are all suspect. Bama can still win the national championship and if any SEC announcers have their say, they would be in the in the NC game already regardless of any outcome of any other games played. I am looking at your Vern Lunquist and Gary Danielsen.

Souf Cackalaki - Arkansas's only losses are to Alabama and Auburn. Not too shabby. They could have beaten Alabama. Sadly their best WR is out for the year and Cackalaki has Lattimore back so I give them the edge and the win.

Cardinal - The best part of this game is watching Arizona head coach Mike Stoops blow a gasket and drop 12 f bombs just from losing the coin toss. Harbaugh will happily give this Stoop an aneurysm with hard nose football and trick plays.

GiT - I hate GiT. I hate Paul Johnson. I hate no neck Nesbitt. Yes I have a lot of hate and I haven't even had a drink yet. GiT did something an opponent rarely does to me, they shut me up. I barely spoke a word during the second half of last years game. Since GiT had the ball for 22:28 of the second half, most of the camera shots were of Nesbitt and PJ, hence my growing hate for them. The only different look from Foster my beer soaked eyes noticed was a face that went from red with rage to purple with seething anger. Hopefully the off week will get this defense better adjusted but injuries can hurt. Also you should all thank me for not going to this game. I made the trek to Blacksburg last year for the UNC game and we came out a loser. Same for Boise St this year. I have imposed a self-ban from attending games. That being said Go Hokies and make me look moor stoopid then I already done.

Beer tonight will be Rogers Pilsner unless they have some sort of holiday beer. My beer of choice this weekend will be Ebenezer Ale, guaranteed to lighten the mood of an Scrooge.

What about Flomax. They also had an ad campaign for guys that had a going/Grohing problem.
