Kevin Jones broke it by 244 yards, which was broken by Ryan Williams last year by 7 yards.

And it has nothing to do with Glennon's jersey or "Chopgate". It's because they're good, confident to the point of smugness and they beat us almost as much as we beat them. It's a healthy rivalry, and honestly we needed that. Nothing against Boston College, but every time they beat us I feel like we didn't play our best / we let one slip away. Plus we got them when it mattered most. With GT it's more of that, OK we got beat by a good team, now I want to get out there and return the favor.
For what it's worth, I think we will do just that this year in the 'Burg.

I am guessing here but its a great picture.
I think that is Anthony Midgett returning an interception of Jim Hart when we played the St. Louis Cardinals back in '82. I was only 9 years old then so I may have the year wrong.
The picture is from 1985. Louisville had different helmets in '83. Hell if I know who he is, though. I can't find any source that has old VT rosters, not even old Bugles keep those rosters. You'd have to be alive and well and following VT football back then to remember.
