RBs only had 15 carries. They ran two gimmicks to a WR. I just dont understand why they dont get more. Etienne averaged 6.7 ypc and Tuten 12.8 ypc but they only got 14 touches.
I dont think it just happened with us necessarily, more a comment about the "quality" of recruiting sites assessments of 5000+ players in less than a week. I do think it happened to most recruits with little to no playing time leaving P2 schools which after watching the SEC fall on its face in the postseason is pretty clear the narrative of P2 is pie in the sky compared to reality.
It just so happens we are in a kind of unique spot that we are getting a ton of P2 transfers.
I was never was on the Pop train and honestly for me, this might be a better landing spot than I expected if he is getting the guarantee to start. I actually expected him to announce a D2 landing spot as a starter.
Unfortunate is that even if Pop balls out at UMass they probably lose a ton of games. 0-12 this season. Three of the four OOC games were buy in games to make them money. Their defense was awful. Gave up 40+ in 8 of 12 games. Pop cant fix that. He may help the offense that scored 14 or less in 10 of 12 games.
This kind of crap will always happen for VT. I'm at the point of let it happen and the players will have one more axe to grind on our opponents.

Would love to see the total amount of stars our guys lost for being Freshmen that didnt play this year. Feels like at least 10 of the 18 dropped a star.

In the NIL world a one year hop for a QB back to P4 could be a significant payday.
With 2 years of eligibility left, he's probably better off just trying to do good things there and move on to whatever is next. Doubt his future is the NFL, so try and start for 2 years and have fun with it.
