This immediately came to mind for me as well, so I'm both happy he decided to stay while also slightly concerned. I'm hopeful that the other comments are right in that a change in coaching/holder can right the ship, because it seems like it can be difficult for kickers to get their mojo back once they start slipping.

One the reasons - not the only one, mind you - but one of them why when I donate, institutes of higher learning in the United States (or as I like to say, The Education-industrial Complex) are very low on my list of priorities to donate to. We routinely donate $10,000-$20,000 a year. It has been many years since VT or Yale got > $0.

Yea I think you're hitting on my point...

Not all teams have coaching/resources/infrastructure to build 80%+ (or whatever threshold you chose) of a roster from high school. But it's not binary; rather it's a spectrum - can you recruit 60% from high school? how do you define that 60%? What if you recruit only 40% of your roster from high school, but that 40% is really solid?

I'm interested to see how teams will adjust over the next 5 years. I'm sure there are going to be some teams that develop some really interesting roster building techniques.

By (mostly) popular demand, and apologies to those that are sick of it:

Seems like another good get. Very excited about the way things are shaping up.

Was thinking the same exact thing when I read his comment. You beat me to it and I am sitting here laughing at your post.

Thanks for linking this.

Also, it's great to see that LOLUVA isn't listed in the top 50 since their entire philosophy is to ignore high school recruiting and go all in on the portal.

It's overall good to great. Certain episodes and the later seasons get a bit too hung up on running/repetition gags. Shoresy (the hockey-focused spinoff) is also good to great but you can tell Jared (the creator) gets a bit too much fun with casting hot 20-somethings for 2-5 seconds of screentime.
