Yeah-for football we averaged 35-40k for most games and sellouts for UVQA and WVU games. For basketball , we averaged 6500-8000 for most games (occasionally more) and sellouts for Memphis State and Louisville. As you noted we were much more 'middling' at both then with occasional great years. But I still never missed home games!

Guess we wont see Micah Matthews on the baseball diamond as he entered the portal today.

Not sure if this is UVA making us look good or NC State is just bad defensively but Sam Lewis put up 20 points in first half and UVA up 40-20 at halftime.

In my day, few, if any games were even on TV. You either went to the game or listened to it on the radio. In my student days, I did go to games as a Highty Tighty for a couple of years, but never otherwise. Tickets back then were not hard to come by, but the product wasn't as attractive as other pursuits, so my crowd didn't go. Same for football, really. I didn't get seriously into the Hokie sports until I graduated and left the area 50 years ago.
