We're spending this holiday with our daughter's husband's Clemson family in Charleston. Busy, fun week! Weather has been fabulous!
Drinks at the Blind Tiger Christmas bar was fun last nite!

A challenging time, we have been going through something similar. Glad that you were able to be there with your mom, and may you find plenty of good times to come with your mom-in-law.
Does he have to pretend to play school?
It is going to be a low-key Christmas for us. We've been empty nesters for a while, but our son has often been over for early morning Christmas activities. This year he had other plans.
My Mom passed away on the 10th of December, 11 days shy of her 102nd birthday. My youngest sister and I had gone down to visit with her in Charleston, SC, and we had left to drive home. In the morning before we left, the three of us had gone Christmas shopping and then we had dropped our Mom off at a luncheon with some friends of hers from church. We had gotten into North Carolina, when we had gotten a call from the sister that lives in Charleston that we needed to get back. I was able to be with her as she very peacefully passed.
We've had the memorial service for my Mom and I have been working on my checklist as the executive of her estate.
While all of that was going on, my wife's mother was in a rehab unit recovering from a broken hip and needing placement in a Medicaid facility due to her dementia. My wife had to deal with all of that pretty much on her own but I got back in enough time to help her move her mom.
Looking forward to a remembering the reason we celebrate Christmas. I wish the blessing of this season and peace to all my HOKIE family.

My problem is he went through the NBA Draft Process at a time that the rules stated that doing so nullified your NCAA Eligibility. Unfortunately that was a NCAA rule that only applied to current NCAA players. He also played in the NBA Summer League so curious if he was paid for that.
This is the first time he's attending college, so similar to euro players like Avdalas and Dorn in that regard, he should be able to enroll and play.
But I definitely don't like the rosters changing mid-season.. next thing you know there will be current players transferring mid-season.
So how many games is he going to have to sit out due to his professional career? (Dorn had to sit 1)
