Out of the matchup this season were Wake and BC, but they fared worse than the teams in. Wake lost to William & Mary and BC got dusted 76-49 by QUINNIPIAC. FFS....
ACC men are 0-3 so far tonight and trail in 3 of the final 4 games. BC blew a lead in final seconds and then lost in OT.

Really weird seeing UVA using a full court press, man-to-man defense and chasing offensive rebounds. Apparently they are the #1 Offensive Rebounding team in the country so far.
UVA's big from Germany is light years better than Dorn. He plays more like a 7 foot version of Neo.

Coat cutting due to state legislature isnt the same as not having money to donate to sports.
Also some weird things are going on at WVU they are setting up a shadow college inside it where the curriculum isnt accredited. So money has been diverted to this effort in some sleazy ways.
Also, those 4 and 5 star recruits will be playing for Lane Kiffin, so that likely helps...

I think it is a unique situation. I think that JMMF/Sexton have the reach/pull to help someone find a good landing place. So I bet there's a little quid pro quo here.

I think VT has a recruiting ceiling below a lot of schools, but i don't think we've seen that ceiling.
We only have what five 5* recruits all time? We have zero in this class. Miami has an average recruit ranking inline with our top recruit. I think we have a way to go to reach the next echelon of recruiting. Clemson is has been down in recruiting the last two years, but we've seen them have top 5 classes. We have a long way to go to see if we can raise our level by winning big and making VT a football destination for 5* recruits. Until we do that i don't think we can recruit like Clemson/FSU/Miami when they are doing well.
