For the most part, yes. Someone starting college in 2020, that year didn't count, they redshirted in 2021, and then 2022-2025 were their four years.

uva also got a mulligan in 2022 due to the shooting. It looks like it was mainly for players who were in their final year of eligibility that year, but apparently the NCAA was still making some case-by-case decisions for some players as late as last year.

So I suppose it could be possible for a player to get the free COVID year in 2020, redshirt in 2021, another free year in 2022, with 23, 24, 25, and 26 as the four years that counted.

And that's not getting into whatever eligibility people got from Pavia's case last year.

Not going to lie, I went to bed before the 4th quarter, read all the comments on here today, and only just now realized we kept the scoring streak alive. The worst VT team and the best UVA team this millennium somehow couldn't even stop that

Joe are there ads on the non-TKPC accounts still? Hopefully extra traffic drives engagement and some ad revenue

Spread the word! Doors are open! Also consider some financial support as well.

Instead of reliving the exploratory rectal surgery we all had yesterday, I am digging into the Hokies offensive line recruits for film study.

OL film study sounds like a better use of your time. Yesterday's dumpster fire was already last season. Better days ahead.

I see what you're saying but I disagree simply based on numbers. PSU has 25 OL on its listed roster, so I assume that Andy Frank will try to get to a similar number. VT currently has 16 OL on its roster, 3 of which have expired their eligibility. Presuming Trautwein is hired and Moore takes another job, of the 13 that is left, a couple will likely follow Moore (Altuner, Austin, Crawford?), bringing the number down to 10 or so. VT currently has 6 OL commits, 3 of which committed to Moore. VT is trending for about 2-3 more OL recruits. Let's be optimistic and say VT gets 8 OL recruits. That's 18 OL on the roster without portal acquisitions (8 of which would be true freshman). As we know, building out the OL via the portal is hard. To reach 25, Franklin and Frank would need to pluck 7 out of the portal, which is very optimistic. Releasing several the current VT OL to portal in more than 7 seems difficult and unwise.

So, I think Franklin and Frank will try and keep as much of the current VT OL possible.

To be honest, I think we are part of the instigation of the trainwreck as we got our coach fast and he's taking players and assistants off the board.

Last day for the pop up store to get Hokies wrestling gear.

That is much more interesting. I imagine much better for your mental health as well.

It will be interesting to see how the coaching changes affects the O-line. According to "Kolby's Corner," Trautwein will be hired and Moore will be looking for work elsewhere (but I guess we'll see in the upcoming week whether that is true). Hopefully, VT can retain some of the core that has potential, add the 6 or so this signing class, and then portal enough starters to yield a decent line in year 1.
