Think we need a December thread. This is getting tough to load.
To be fair... I think JMU would do that to most of the ACC this year....
Welcome back lurkers!

If you have the means, get fully dipped. I can attest after lurking for years, it is the best return on investment I have had since "Lieutenant Dan got me invested in some kind of fruit company".

Gotcha... somehow I missed that.
You're right. Although at the time the criticism seemed warranted. It's funny how time and circumstances will change your mind and offer you a little bit of revisionist history. Most of us, as much as we loathed Stiney, would have loved to have him the last few years.
It's very clear what we are trying to do on offense, and I love it!
Now, based on what CJF stated in his press conference about being good up front on both sides of the ball, I am really anxious to see how he starts the rebuilding process of the front 7 on defense.
I was talking about the Stinespring years
To be fair, this VT passing attack is good for one of the very worst in the nation by almost every metric. I think the criticism is warranted here.

Welcome to the 2025 college football season.

The rational will be that they had a data point with FSU without their top quarterbacks. Brock Glenn won the ACC championship game but the committee deemed it wasn't "playoff caliber" any more. They don't have any such data point with Ole Miss without Kiffin. Ole Miss might perform better without him.
I am rooting for Ole Miss to win it all, and Kiffin never get a chance.
We met Will's father in season one when Jonathan went to see if he had taken Will and, even if we hadn't, the timeline doesn't work for Henry because he was essentially imprisoned at the lab and didn't have a chance to escape until Eleven took his inhibitor chip out.
I think the twist that happens at the end of episode 4 was setup in episode 1
Every fanbase always hates the OC and the starting QB.
The OC is always not doing enough and the backup QB is always a world beater just waiting to get in the game.

Binged all 4 episodes with the family. My daughters are huge fans. I participate and enjoy, but not as big a fan as they are. They mentioned there are four previous episodes one should watch before watching Season 5. I'm not doing that.
I thought the first two episodes were a bit slow but it picked up in the 3rd and the ending of the 4th was awesome. Well done and I'm ready for more.
There is a poorly sources NBCSports/pro football talk article tying Chip Kelly to the job. That would be a horrendous choice.
Edit: I think Mullen makes a lot of sense for UK, but I wonder if he would want to work at a school where football is second fiddle.
It's about damn time.
here's hoping that the next OC and QB can have success not seen in Blacksburg since TT.
Which seems like a crazy thought from a certain perspective considering a large part of the fan base wanted Stinespring out as OC during the TT years.
IT START SNOW.
Sure, but that was pre-NIL direct payments.
I guess that WOULD be a nightmare, if anyone intended to watch it. So probably more of a national embarassment than nightmare.
Love the vision. Get the road graders in here, build up that physical powerful Big 10 style running game, punish opposing defenses like we used to. No more of that "oh I had a great time in Lane, I'd definitely come back" or whatever that Louisville guy said a month ago. No, we need to get back to you come here and you're gonna get pushed around/possibly truck stick'd for sixty minutes. I see the vision and I like it
thats a good problem to have
what he did, or didn't to, do/with the QB position.
This is the most frustrating issue. Based on Monty's offense, which require accurate quick passes outside hashes to WRs or RBs and well-thrown deep balls to WRs, Drones was destined to fail. Drones is much better at hitting crossing routes and stops, especially TEs. It's crazy how the TE essentially didn't have a role in this offense, especially when Drones could really use a TE dump to help his comp. % and to slow down the pass rush.
I was hoping Monty would adjust his offense to suit Drones strengths. Or, if he didn't change his offense, I was hoping he would realize Pop would be better suited for his offense.
And if NIL politics played a role in Drones maintaining the starting position, let's cut that shit out now. NIL only dictates payment. Payment amount should never dictate the two-deep.
Anyways, here's hoping that the next OC and QB can have success not seen in Blacksburg since TT.
I felt that Lane had more or less rehabbed his image a bit at Ole Miss. Now hes back to being a 100% weasel coach. I wish he had stayed at Ol Miss.

It takes awhile to remember how to "TKP Harder". Then again there might be pills for that.
