Danny Coales on field are more open than they appear.

The referee is intently admiring how open Coale is.

It must be boring to be that open.

Coale was so open, he had to stop, turn around, catch the ball, and then breakaway from defenders.

Like 7-Eleven Danny Coale is always open.

Around this time each year I find it necessary to remind myself not to forget about how important Danny Coale is to the success of the Hokies. From last year:

On Saturdays he just puts his hat on and does work. That's the type of guy you can forget about, because you never have to worry about him.

And all he did was go out and catch 39 balls for 732 yards and 3 touchdowns, our second most productive receiver. Being blue collar and catching ball, after, ball to an almost boring regularity isn't appreciated enough these days.

After breaking out against UNC last year I've become caught up with Marcus Davis' potential for a huge season. Of course that means I've been overlooking Coale's importance at wide receiver, again. Shame on me. However, I've been a staunch supporter for Coale to be our starting punter, ohhhhhh have I been all over that. Coale winning the punting job and succeeding at it, which I think he would, will provide just the right amount of wonkiness to the final chapter of the story for his brilliant career.

It's just coincidence that 7/11 falls during the Hokies' recent recruiting hot-streak. Although, some people are left scratching their heads regarding a couple of offers. Just remember for every 4- of 5-star that decides to go elsewhere and doesn't work out, Beamer Co. gets another Danny Coale. And that's just fine with me.
