South Carolina - Citadel upset

I was at Williams-Brice Stadium this weekend to see the USCe/Citadel game. Going into the game, and seeing how the Cocks have sucked all season I thought The Citadel had a shot at the upset, but figured that the SEC POWER would overcome the FCS triple option in the end.

After seeing first-hand the wrong side of a certain preseason game in Blacksburg in 2010, I feel for the USCe fans. By no means do I equivalize the upsets; Saturday's game was certainly of much less significance in terms of "upsets." However, after cheering for the underdog all day with my father and several of his Citadel classmates, it was absolutely thrilling to be a part of a game like that.

I also had an excellent conversation with my dad's college roommate about his time on the Bulldogs football team in the late 70's. He was a linebacker who was fortunate enough to play under Frank's coordinatorship and had nothing but positive things to say about his coaching. Great to hear that Frank's always had the great reputation and that we all got to be a part of special games this weekend.
