I know 2018 was a disappointing season overall, and it stinks to break the streak of consecutive winning seasons. But in the spirit of the new year, I am already starting to look forward to the potential of this team in 2019, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how some players develop after a season (and offseason) under their belts.
Who are the players you are most looking forward to seeing take the next step in 2019? This can be returning starters, guys who redshirted, or even new recruits. Use whatever criteria you want (best returning starters, guys who you think will make the biggest leap forward, etc.), and feel free to just name a couple or go all out and make a top 10!
For me, it's the guys I'm really excited that are coming back. In 2018 we had almost no returning stars. 2019 should be different. I think these guys will potentially be All-ACC next season:
1) Tre Turner (the biggest playmaker on the team, could be dominant in 2019)
2) Dax Hollifield (played well as a true freshman, already has great size)
3) Ryan Willis (I think he's the clear starter, but would like to see him hit the weights hard this offseason)
4) Rayshard Ashby (could help anchor a REALLY good LB group in 2019)
5) Damon Hazelton (he's got the athletic ability, now he needs to learn to use it consistently)
