OT: Name Your Favorite 80s Movie

This was originally a Stranger Things 3 Trailer Thread... But I missed the other one by 10 minutes.

Bonus Points if you can find the awesome 80's trailer and embed it.

Not necessarily my favorite, but a good flick. The Dark Crystal

Too many good gifs, can't choose just one

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

Raiders of the Lost Ark for me.

So many great movies to choose from though.

The movies were great, but the 80's trailers were some of the best around as well!

Didn't even have to watch the movies with those trailers. Two and a half minutes of cliff notes essentially lol

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

Return of the Jedi.

Waho's suck
Uva swallows

Not sure about a favorite.

History of the World, Part I is a classic.

I'm damn 36 years old and still can't watch the seen where Artax dies.

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

Some scary ass shit in that, for a "children's movie." Poor Artax. But that Sphinx Gate... Yikes!

If we can only name one, there is only one correct answer: The Empire Strikes Back.

Some honorable mentions would be Ghostbusters, The Terminator and Big Trouble in Little China.

The doll's trying to kill me and the toaster's been laughing at me.

I still turn on Big Trouble in Little China when it is on. It's great from start to finish. The song playing during the credits is excellent.

There are so many, but in an effort to reduce duplicates, this one has fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...

It doesn't sound too bad. Try and stay awake.

I got it...Willow: The Never Ending Story of the Masters of the Universe...

All that in one movie? Why it's...it's...it's.......

Really would be hard to name a bad one. Best comedies, best action flicks, best music. Such a great decade!

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

KCCO

Plus, I was born in the 80s, so of course it's a great decade

If you're not sure if my comment warrants a "/s", it probably does.

Here lies It's a Stroman Jersey I Swear, surpassed in life by no one because he intercepted it.

That's my alternate pick to this. Probably any man who has ever served in the US Army, has a sentimental attachment to Stripes. It also has one of the all-time great motivational speeches.
