Former FSU center Michael Ojo dies from heart attack

Michael Ojo dies from heart attack

According to Eurohoops sources, Ojo was having an individual practice with Partizan and the collapse happened while he was running. There have been no signs of Ojo having any health issues throughout his tenure in Serbia including any heart conditions.

Multiple reports from Serbia state that the big man was brought to the hospital from Partizan's stadium but he was showing no signs of life and the doctors weren't able to reanimate him.

After five years at Florida State, Ojo started off his professional career in Belgrade, Serbia with FMP for a year after which he played a season for Crvena Zvezda. He won the 2018 ABA SuperCup as well as the ABA League and the Serbian League in 2019. Ojo was a free agent this summer.

Hate to hear that happening to anyone so young, hated watching us go up against him, but he sounded like a really great dude.

Damn RIP big man๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜ข

Bummer... get your heart checked folks. Terrible reminder even if you think you are healthy.

So yeah, I'm an old guy, but this year so far, two of the fittest people I knew had heart issues and one a quad, one a triple bypass surgery. Doctors said their fitness helped them survive, but genetics...they'll get after ya. One had an attack, but the guy with the quadruple had no health issues heart related at all and was alerted by a stress test. Like Fud says, consider screening, especially if heart disease runs in the family.

Glad you are good man! You at least have to see us play Wisconsin in 2040!

Thanks, Bud. If I can make it to 90, I hope I'm not a drooler in the corner of the nursing home hall, and even if I've lost my marbles, I'll definitely be watching if Wisconsin actually does stay on that year's schedule. But truthfully? I ain't holdin' my breath on either case.

RIP to him. Always looked like he was having fun out there.

Some stuff floating out there about him having recently recovered from COVID too.
