This is early for the same reason I put up the Women's thread. I am driving back to PA Sat and Sun and will be on the road when this game is played.
The Men play Louisville at Louisville on Sunday at 6 PM. The game is on the ACCN. Louisville is 23-6 overall, 14-4 ACC. They are 16-1 at home. Their only home loss was to Florida State.
Louisville will have a significant height advantage except when Ojiako is on the floor. Then they will only have a 1-2" per man height advantage. Center Malik Williams injured his foot in their last game and was in a boot at the end of the game. He has a twisted ankle; his return was unknown. If Williams can't play, they still have RSr 6'10" Steven Enoch to play the middle. He has been playing about half of most games.
Louisville is currently ranked #11/10 in the polls. I'm not sure what to say about this game after watching the second half against UVA. If our first half team shows up, we'll get run out of the building. If our second half team shows up, we could be competitive.
It will be interesting to see how much time each of the guards get in this game. At the end of the UVA game, it looked like Catoor and Cone played well together. Those two put a little more pressure on the defense than when Bede is one of the guards.
I don't see anything that leaps out at me in the stats other than that it would be good if someone could slow Nwora down a little bit. And we are going to have our hands full with Williams and Enoch, if both play.
Again, I am going to be driving from Fl to PA all day Sat and Sun. If anyone sees anything that should be added to this thread, please add it in the comments. And would someone please comment around 6PM Sunday if this thread is too far down the tracker.
