VT @ ODU is 7 p.m. on Friday 9/2. ESPNU
BC @ VT is 8 p.m. on Saturday 9/10. ACCN
Wofford @ VT is 11 a.m. on Saturday 9/17. ACCN
So the first home game will be a super fun tailgate day before Pry's home opener under the lights. The second home game... not so much

First home game is night lets go!!
Primetime Pry! (My Miami fan friend just came up with that π€£)
I just hate that its Friday night. Call me old school, but Friday night is for the high school kids.
That's the ODU road game. The first home game is on Saturday night
Prymetime!
HOKIES!!!
VT Athletics also announced that WVU (9/22) is 7:30 on ESPN and NCSU (10/27) is 7:30 on ESPN. Maybe these were announced earlier, but I wanted to include them for completeness.
Yep, those are Thursdays so I guess we could have assumed time and network but official now
Looks like the Wofford game is going to be for brunch.....I guess it will have to be bloody marys and mimosas at the tailgate.
Why are you saying that like it's a bad thing
If by "bloody marys and mimosas" you mean "bourbon and more bourbon" I'm right there with ya.
I'm always partial to a coffee stout and bourbon as the morning boost at the tailgate.
I'm not going to sit here and act like this will be the first time I've gotten drunk at 9am but the previous times hurt a lot less than this one will
There was a couple games that I woke up to Skipper firing when I was in west AJ after a night of....fun activities.
11am EST, what is this nonsense?
That can't be right, has to be 11 CT
Nope, it is 11 am EST because LOLUVA had one last year.
So the ACCN can show 3 games in one day.
On that Saturday they have 4 games on the ACCN.
Yep 4 my bad.
Wow.....showing live league games on your own network....what a concept!
I'm sure folks on the West coast will be super motivated to watch an 8 am game.
I've been in a bar at 6 am in Hawaii to watch VT play
Well, you'll need to be there at 5 am this time.
Oh I'm not allowed there anymore
You're not allowed back to that bar, or you're not allowed back to the entire state of Hawaii? Cuz the latter would be a story worth making a movie about.
San Diego Hokies, anyone know if Bub's is going to be open at 8am?
In the past, Bub's would open up early for the 9AM games, so I imagine they would for 8AM. Their breakfast game and bloody mary bar is strong, so it's definitely worth it if they do open up that early.
I'm now in LA, so haven't been to Bubs in over 4 years, so maybe they've changed, but I imagine they would still open up early.
Who came up with that 11am kickoff? I need names...for uh...a polite discussion. Yeah, that's it.
It's to squeeze in 4 games for that ACCN $$$ right?
Games at 11, 2, 5, 8
On the one hand, I'd love to go to 4OT just to prove the point to ESPN that college games shouldn't be squeezed into a 3 hour block.
On the other hand, we really don't want to be going to 4OT against an FCS team.
I disagree, college games don't need to be 3 hours. Cut the commercials down and get it done in 2.5 hours.
If they cut the commercial breaks in half, I would sit and watch through them a lot more than I do now...
But how am u going to remember to purchase a tac-spurtle if I am not reminded every 2.8 minutes.
You're not wrong there. But as it stands now, with the clock stopping on 1st downs and a longer halftime, broadcasters should know the college game can't fit in the same window as NFL.
Poor form, Chris
Kind of excited for Wofford. This should be a great opportunity for all of the players to get playing time. First half starters, third quarter backups, 4th quarter walk on players.
3-3 against BC in night games, including a fuck Matt Ryan, since we joined the ACC. Does not include 330pm or 4pm kickoffs.
Our flight from Denver touches down in RDU at 11:40pm on 9/9. I was beginning to think DCIMSA and I wouldn't make it to that game because of honeymoon roadtrip shenanigans, but we could actually get a decent night's sleep and still make it for the home opener. Football gods did us a solid!
