Summary:

• Needs a culture that can withstand roster turnover. Starts with relationships and trust. And being ultra competitive. Feels like Relationships/Trust/Competition is Pry's version of 'they'll get after ya'
• All 5 transfers last year were culture fit, and the inbound players this year are too
• Recruiting the portal is challenging; Pry spends 2-3 years recruiting high school kids, but only 2-3 days, maybe up to a week, recruiting portal guys. Takes a lot due diligence and calling people (coaches, teammates, etc)
• "We all have a goal of winning a championship and going to the playoff" - Pry mentioned in passing, but I like the lofty goals (relative to the last decade of VT footbal)
