Kam Chancellor and a few freinds had the cops called on them last night, after 2 female employees at a gym reported that they were trying to gain entry to doors that were locked. Kam was there investigating the property in order to put an offer down to the business owner to buy the place, since it had just recently closed it's doors. The tweets from Kam are kind of funny.

It was a misunderstanding, the Redmond (Wash.) PD's public information officer told us over the phone last night. The gym permenantly closed earlier this week, and Chancellor, who runs fitness boot camps for women, went to get more information. Despite the building being closed, there were two young female employees still inside. Chancellor and four friends "rattled the windows" to get their attention—he said he was just looking to get a phone number for the business owner.
The officers went on to say:
"Our officers got there and had a great interaction with Kam and four other guys. Super positive. Super nice guy. We didn't even do a police report."

Cops were called on Kam Chacellor after 16 NFL Qbs reported being stalked, mocked and assaulted. The alleged assaults took place weekly over the course of several months and video tape evidence is currently being analyzed, reports state. Additional reports by unnamed sources cite a pending class action lawsuit from NFL WR's who fear for their safety while going over the middle deep.

Sad that these two women were possibly scared by the fact that (at least one) large, young black man was trying to get their attention. Likely rooted in some kind of conscious or unconscious racism.
Also sad that bad things happen to women so often these days that there is reason for them to be scared in a situation like this. Really sucks on both sides.
For the record, the call was received at 4:25pm so it's not like this was the middle of the night.

IMHO, if a group of (fill in the race) men were banging on locked doors and windows at 2 am while 2 female employees were finishing up work, cops are called. I know they weren't trying to break in, but if you were a woman, that late in an isolated location, would you err on the side of caution?
That's why I said it is an unfortunate look at our society on both sides. If my family members/SO were in that situation, I would want them to err on the side of caution as well, but it's sad that it is that way.
Not trying to start something, but why the race card. Shit if I saw a three big men (whatever race) tapping on a window to a place I knew no one else was supposed to be at, I would be butt clenched too and probably do the same thing! I sure hope my wife would!! Better safe than sorry
Why make this racist? I didn't see anywhere where it mentioned the race of the women or of the men with Kam. Are you insinuating in your first point that if the women and men were of the same race that they wouldn't have called the cops, and would have let them in? I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with that. I don't care if the people were black, brown, white, blue, green, purple, or any other color under the rainbow, when two women are in a locked building and it appears that 5 large men are trying to gain entrance it is in their best interest to call the police. As the cops stated, they encourage people to err on the side of caution.
I agree that it is saddening that society has gotten to a point where calling the police is the best option in this situation, but unfortunately that is the world we now live in. I would rather see a headline like this than a headline reading about two women killed or missing because they let unknown strangers into the building.
