Rivals Camp Series: Top tight ends

Xavier Burke was third on their list (http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1503974&PT=4&PR=2)

At the RCS in Richmond, Burke came out to show that he has been working hard to improve and he certainly caught everybody's eye. The biggest differences in Burke's game were his speed and route-running. It looked the Virginia Tech commit had slimmed down, which allowed him to make more athletic plays. It was pretty impressive the way Burke was able to create separation downfield and come up with some big catches.

Sounds like Tech did a great job identifying, offering, and securing a commitment from Xavier before anyone else knew how good he was. He should be a nice fit in Loeffler's offense as either a tight end or H-Back.

Definitely a great find here and the kid has a basketball background as well which always bodes well for the TE position.
