Watching the OSU game again tonight (because I can), and I'm on the drive early in the 3rd Q where we have a string of 3-4 big penalties called against us. First, I should say, I'm not crying about it. We won the game in convincing fashion despite these calls. But, still, I'm wondering if anyone else took a close look at these.
During the live game I was furious because they didn't show replays of 2-3 of these mystery calls. So, through the magic of dvr I'm taking a closer look.
1 - we sacked them deep in their territory, and Dadi is called for PF hands to the face (15 yds). Even on dvr you can't see what happened. I'm very curious if he actually did something that was a foul.

Just received a message from the Virginia Game Guy on Twitter. He's looking for a tailgate that will be playing Stump for his camera crew to film. You probably have seen him on the Virginia Lottery commercials and I'm pretty sure he's a Hokie grad too.
Here's his message:

I was perusing on Facebook last night and came across a post that a friend of mine had commented on (Thanks Facebook for letting me know what my friends comment on, by the way). The ECU Football page posted an article from Gobbler Country, written obviously by a Hokie fan. Interesting tone to this article, and there are parts that I necessarily do not agree with- as if the author doesn't respect ECU.
I know we have played ECU a thousand times. In my opinion, their fans are great (not to mention, the ECU co-ed's, amirite?), ECU football is exciting, and I do respect the talent on the field and the job their coaching staff has done.
This has certainly got the ECU fans fired up calling it "Bulletin Board Material."

It seems Shane and the Pirates are pretty confident they can roll into Blacksburg on Saturday and play us better than they did last year. While he's not exactly speaking with arrogance, I think he is a little overconfident in his receivers and a little naive about the ability of our #dbu. While he does give credit to them being "very good", he goes on to say that his receivers are among the best in the country. I doubt they are that much better than OSU's receivers. I sure hope he continues to buy into this false sense of security.
If you don't want E$PN to get the hits, theres basically not much else I took away from the link beyond whats stated above.

In his post-practice interview last night, Bud said that Dadi has the most "twitch" of anyone since Corey Moore. He said that Dadi still has to master more of the game to get to Corey's level but he certainly has the raw talent.
and the follow-up with Corey ....

It's Weak 3 of college football in 2014 and we've reached our first, "Yes honey, I think date night would be a great idea. No, No, football isn't that important, you are" gameday of the season. The schedule is a lot better next week, so make brownie points now.

Hey Mark, the OBC's set is bigger and hangs lower on his person and while he has not belt, he does have ring that says Champ
Looking at the flaming pile of crap that is the SEC East and what appears to be a less than intimidating SEC West challenger, this is the best chance the UGA has to run the table. The Dawgs need to do more than just get by Sakerlina to make me a believer.

ESPNU is rebroadcasting VIRGINIA TECH VS OHIO STATE tonight at 8: 00 PM. Here are five reasons I will be relieving the moment again tonight:
Its good to finally beat a top 10 team in a long time.
The defense is fun to watch
How can the Hokies learn from and correct the mistakes that were made.
Watching a packed Horseshoe stadium getting silenced
Watching the young Hokies dominate Osu.
What are the reasons why you want to re-watch the VT VS Ohio State game?

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Err.... fall or something. Football is here, and the Hokies' annual favorite matchup is this weekend. No I'm not talking about that community college up north, because I consider that Blacksburg winter.... I'm talking about the ECU Pirates...

yeah this is who we're playing...

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was worth sharing. I haven't been downtown to see it, but apparently they put up the countdown clock for the Battle at Bristol game at the chamber of commerce here in Bristol! Many people are upset about the clock, but I'm pumped about them doing this! This game is only going to help the area, not hurt it... Ugh. But anyways, 730 days may be really far away, but I can't wait!

Let me get this out of the way... First of all, I appreciate a lot of the comments on here recently, I couldn't have chosen a better time to join TKP, as we're really knocking it out of the park right now in terms of content and humor.

Yes it was a game for the ages for us Hokies fans. 100,000 buckeyes and 7,000 Hokies, but it seemed like there were Hokies everywhere. In the stadium it was impressive to see 100,000 people make a sea of red and made me think how impressive lane would be if we could get all fans to wear only one primary color each game (love both orange and maroon). But what was really impressive was how much noise 7,000 Hokies could make. Often they would try to cheer over us, but we got louder and cheered harder. My buckeye friend kept commenting on our presence and noise and said we were the most vocal ( in a good way) fans he has ever experience at anOSU (and he has been at every home game since 1969).

All of of us have been schooled in Advanced Trap Game Theory, so I'm fairly confident that I don't have to explain to anybody here that we have a potential textbook trap game scenario coming up this week. I actually believe the remainder of the season could qualify for trap status. Well Hokies, in case you're kicked back, resting on your laurels, I have a list of reasons why all of you need to be jacked up and raring to go for the remainder of the schedule.
