It appears that OSU has asked, and VT has given the ok to wear the helmet stickers honoring the WDBJ victims, Alison Parker and Adam Ward. (I believe Adam was also a VT grad?). Thanks for the classy response to our request. Prayers for the victims & their families.
(sorry after running the table after the loss in the 'shoe...he has been knighted by the almighty ESPN and we are required to use Sir before his name when speaking publicly...all hail Disney)
We had mixed success with this fandom method last season. However, there is no doubt it went very well against anOSU last year (when SevenLayersofPlayers started it Link).
Let's start the year off right.
Repeats from last year are always welcome...improvements on them are better...and originals are the besties!
I agree that we need to get the ball outside to take away the numerical advantage inside. If we can connect on some quick screens or hit the WR then we'll open up our running game.
As much as I think UM will come out running it would not surprise me, if you use a cover 0 look, for him to throw the ball and challenge you to stick with cover 0.
Final S & G days episode- Towards the end JT and Tyvis Powell joke that they've been studying Virginia Tech so much that they know players mama's names.
JT also has a nice picture of a Lane stadium crowd as his phone backround to remind himself of what he's in for.
Also the QB coach tells Barrett to make sure he takes most of the reps in a drill because we are in "game mode".
For the Virginia based folks:
Hooville - NBC 29
Harrisonburg - WHSV-DV4 (MyNetwork)
Richmond - FOX Richmond 35
Blacksburg - WWCW - the CW station
DC - My20 WDCA (formerly UPN...or am I showing my age?)
Not much to add on top of that. But it will be interesting to see how the NFL proceeds with a Commissioner who has essentially been stripped of power. I would almost guarantee we're going to see another Lockout in the not too distant future.

I know you Hokies don't play Michigan, but I think tonights game will be fascinating to watch for everyone. I'm not sure what to expect. I think Harbaugh will come out with a limited passing and run the ball 40+ times tonight. I think he is going to line up and just try and run it down their throat the old fashioned way. As we all know, Harbaugh is all about toughness and crappy Walmart khakis. Utah has a solid D line though so I'm not sure how well that will work. I think Utah pulls it out 28-21, but I say that with zero confidence. You guys have any predictions on this one?
Starting at 6pm est we FINALLY get college football back, UNC takes on USC in Charlotte. Then at 8:30 The Jim Harbaugh era starts at Michigan against Utah. Then at 9 we see TCU take on Minnesota. Scattered in there are other lower level games to keep your interest. Let's get this College Football season started in 8 HOURS!!!

Ok guys and gals I need some help.
My seats at the game are in a prime location to be caught on TV and/or the JumboTron and I'm wanting to make a sign for the game. I've only ever done this once, for the 2003 Miami game and I got on ESPN early in the fourth.
I would put it on here but I can't figure out how to get a video that's saved on my computer to upload on here (if someone could tell me I'd gladly share).
My problem is I don't know what to put on the sign.
Jon Schuetz said Tuesday that a university official told him he was let go because of a Facebook post critical of the firing of football coach Bo Pelini last November. Schuetz said he has deleted the post and declined to comment on what it said.

Another day, another rivalry,
this never-ending quest for a trophy;
these Bucks who we beat last time
will surely want a second try.

Tomorrow we both may play,

He identified one thing teams don't have to have: a proven QB. While no one doubts Brewer's toughness, and he gave some clutch performances last year to be sure, too many picks last year definitely means he's not in the proven QB category.
