Other Folks Remember the first 07 BC game too...

http://www.teamspeedkills.com/2015/7/2/8883997/coaching-lesson-finishing-games-with-boston-college-and-virginia-tech

Team Speed Kills over on SBN managed to pull up this game when talking about closing out games. If ever there was a dictionary definition of not finishing it's this one. It was cool to see that we were remembered though, and that others felt the same.

OH what could have been...

Most Memorable Season of 2000s

Regardless of how VTPhreak4evr is perceived on this website, you cannot deny that his highlight film of every game since 1993 is impressive and very handy. One of my favorite things to do is go back and watch the highlights of these old games that many of us still talk about to this day (2007 ACC Championship) and ones that have probably been forgotten [2004 Western Michigan (hahaha)]. That leads to me ask this: as a Hokie fan, what season (post-2000 since 1995 and 1999 would almost definitely take the cake for all of us) do you have the fondest memories of?

Football Doppelgangers

I apologize in advance if there's a previous thread regarding this but since it's the offseason and not too much going on, besides reading about High School Juniors' twitter activity, I thought this would be fun.

I got this idea because I was just on ESPN and for a second thought I saw Brewer playing Tennis:

Men's Tennis Player Stan Wawrinka

Michael Brewer

What other Football doppelgangers have you found?

2015 Award Watch List Roundup

This will be an ongoing list of the players on each award watch list. I'll keep updating this until all watch lists are released. Once the lists start getting cut down later in the season though, new threads should probably be created. As we have discussed, this team has a lot of potential to be special, so I expect to see many names on these watch lists. In fact, I expect to see several names often.

Bednarik Award - Given to the top defensive player
Kendall Fuller
Dadi Nicolas

Mackey Award - Given to the nation's top Tight End
Bucky Hodges
Ryan Malleck

Summer Months: What's the remedy?

So here we are at the beginning of July, and September 7th seems so close and yet so far away. With all the talk and hype that seems to be growing (thank Joe and his SACKSburg shirt for that), what do you guys do to remedy the dog days of summer?

For me, it consists of a lot of NCAA Football 14 and watching highlight videos on YouTube...

Offeseason Fun Facts: Total wins edition

I was looking at this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NCAA_football_teams_by_wins

And saw a few interesting trivia bits. We're currently at 711 wins wins, 9 behind WVU who are the winningest FBS program without a NC. That makes us second. Also, we're tied with Georgia Tech at 711 wins each! Hopefully we'll open that gap up next season.
