I would not be disappointed by this season.

Washington Post Story on Tim Settle's VT Acceptance
Former VT beat writer Mark Giannatto wrote a terrific story detailing Tim Settle's efforts to gain eligibility in today's Washington Post. It is pretty shameful that teams seem to have pulled their offers to the kid. I am glad the Hokie coaching staff honored their commitment and I am thrilled that Tim will have an opportunity to get a world class college education while dominating the trenches for the Hokies. This is a must read story.

Michigan just got PAID

New Michigan Nike deal worth $169 million, 15.4 mil per year. Nike's next highest contract is 4.4 mil per year to FSU. The crazy part? Nike was the LOWEST bidder.
The new wave of athletic gear contracts are going to be crazy with this setting the bar. Lets hope VT times it right and capitalizes.

Last song I heard this morning coming into work on the radio, not gonna deny my car might have been swerving a bit as I was jumping up and down in my seat. Its a sign, gonna be a great year. GO HOKIES!
Best Single Game Performance by a VT Player
The top 10 plays in VT history got me thinking about this, but what would be the top single game performance a VT player has ever had? I'm thinking:
- Logan Thomas 2011 against Miami - 23/25 passing, the two incompletions being a dropped screen by David Wilson and a throwaway
- Darren Evans in 2008 against MD
- Tyrod in the 2010 ACC Championship
Honorable Mentions:
- Dadi in 2013 against Pitt?
- Macho in 2007 against Clemson?

FSU Coach Jimbo Fisher Imposes Bar Ban
Since FSU has been in the news lately, we'd best stay current...
Probably a good idea on his part, but depending on the duration of said ban, I know I wouldn't be happy if I was a responsible football player of age looking to hang out with friends on a non-football weekend at a bar. Then again, the writer makes a good point. The problem isn't the bars, its the players.

Top 10 Plays in VT Football History
VT Athletics is counting down to the upcoming season with some Top 10 lists in video form. This week is the Top 10 plays (or sequences of plays) in VT history. Here's the video:

I still would like to see Williams and McKenzie both redshirted with Coleman, Edmunds, and McMillian all coming off strong spring practice seasons.
