Hokies add Maryland cornerback Jermaine Waller
Waller (Avalon School, Bethesda, MD) is Virginia Tech's 19th commitment for the class of 2018 and will be entering an increasingly crowded DBU film room with Chamarri Conner, DJ Crossen, Nadir Thompson, Nasir Peoples, and Braxton Clark.
Waller is 6-2 170 lbs and is rated 3*, .8462 by the 247Composite. Waller committed to the Hokies over 3 other P5 offers, plus LOLUVA.

So I'm a teacher on summer break with too much time on my hands, so to fill the dead time before football begins I thought I would share a list of kids I'm keeping an eye on for the 2019 cycle. I spoke with Dorman HS head coach David Gutshall for a story on 2018 OL Jordan McFadden. During the interview Gutshall shared an interesting anecdote with me. He and his staff visited Virginia Tech to watch spring practice in 2016 for a few days. Justin Fuente made a lasting impression. Read the following transcriptions.

2018 linebacker Alan Tisdale set an announcement date of July 1. He'd be another excellent North Carolina and 336 get for the Hokies.

Nadir Thompson, a 5'10 165 pound athlete from Bailey, NC, has verbally committed to the Hokies during an unofficial visit to Blacksburg.
Thompson, who is rated as a three star recruit by 247 Sports, projects to be a defensive back with the Hokies.

After the craziness this weekend, it seems like a good time to update the wishlist. I am doing things a little bit differently this time. The last couple posts had been more of a prediction, than a wishlist, and if anything is clear from this past weekend, predicting a class is pointless. So I decided to go back to a true wishlist. There are some reaches on this list, but I think we have at least a shot with all of the kids listed. Here we go:
