I believe Sean Pedulla is a very good basketball player.
His overall body of work would suggest it. He has been the focal point of Virginia Tech's offense this season, averaging 16.1 points per game and shooting 39% from three. He can create offense for himself with his ability to drive and finish at the rim.
Pedulla scored 33 points in Virginia Tech's 75-71 loss to Miami on Saturday, marking his second straight 30-point game. He overcame a rough patch early in the conference slate, and with a 30-point double-double is putting up numbers few Hokies in the ACC era have rivaled.
When asked what made him such a handful to defend, Miami head coach Jim Larranaga was blunt.
"He's really really good," Larranaga said. "He's good against everybody. How many did he have tonight?"
Peering at the box score, Larranaga discovered the answer.
