# | Slept On It: The Hokies Lost to Old Dominion and I Still Can't Believe This is Real Life As stale and stagnant as the offense looked, aside from a few big plays, they put up 35 points. 35 should be enough to beat ODU every day of the week.
I think ODU spent the whole off season with this game circled on their calendar, planning and prepping for it, while VT was looking ahead to Duke
edit: I read "offseason woes" as "offensive woes"....my my reply to you doesn't make a whole lot of sense, lol

Two weeks in a row with no hokie football is rough. Can't wait till we play again.
I mean, Liberty put up 52 on them...
I'm not saying they didn't bring pressure, but with Tyrod it was like someone would get through untouched every damn play

Once thing I noticed, the O-line really stepped up their game once Mayfield came in.
It seemed like the Jets stopped bringing the heat on every play with Mayfield in as well.
Unfortunately for Tyrod, if he is named starter once he recovers from his concussion, Cleveland fans will likely march on the stadium with pitchforks and torches
Even before Tyrod went down, all they could do was have a suckfest for Mayfield.
Until the O-line goes back to playing like it did in the first half and Mayfield gets broken.
