Parker Clements will finish this season as the sack leader for VT

Charles Huff thinks he's going to make VT become the 4th team in the last 45 years to lose its first two games of the season as a double-digit favorite

It always confused me how much trouble it gave Bud, considering the number of years we had mobile running QBs... like you work around them everyday and can't stop them?

The one plus side of that article is that it's actually throwing some shade at Whit instead of just Pry. But I agree completely - at a program like VT - if you shit the bed twice in a row on football coaches, you gotta go.

I still can't understand why Whit gave the greenlight for Pry, as a first time HC, to bring on not one, but two first time coordinators.

The Virginia Tech Hokies athletic director has been on the job for a decade and is in danger of his second straight whiff in replacing program legend Frank Beamer. Justin Fuente had to go after four seasons of .500 football, and now Brent Pry's third year is off to a dismal start after being upset by the perennially non-threatening Vanderbilt Commodores.

Pry is 10โ€“15, with zero wins over power-conference opponents who finished the season with winning records. But there was a lot of optimism about the veteran Hokies heading into this season (The Dash bought the hype). Then they opened with a Nashville ambush, losing to a Commodores program that hasn't had a winning season since 2013.

Tech started in a 17โ€“0 hole, failing to get stops and aiding Vandy's early momentum with a midfield interception on its opening drive. The Hokies were a minus-1 turnover margin in the game and still haven't won a game under Pry in which they lost the turnover battle.

Virginia Tech's playoff chances: See above with Clemson. Someone has to win the ACC.

So much fun getting national recognition for our ineptitude

I think the bigger issue here is that a week 1 loss has become VT tradition

Inefficient offense. Inept defense. .500 season incoming. I fucking hate this.

Beat the teams you're supposed to fucking beat.

Different reason, but another sign of the end of days. There has got to be some kind of salary cap put in

Lol, it's a 2 hour drive from Corolla to Hatteras, then an hour + ferry ride to Ocracoke. A bit much to catch a game.

I understand the sentiment - but for his first rod and reel for a hobby that I don't know if he'll still be interested in 6 months from now, $65 is plenty

Now, in two years if he is still gung ho, i might look to upgrade
