They could have played hard ball and said we wont owe you a dime.
If Castellanos could throw an accurate deep ball FSU would have 5 or 6 TDs tonight. He keeps underthrowing every time.

It is pretty neat because we're no where near any military installations here in the northwest shenandoah valley
NC State and FSU like watching a badminton game...just bad offense on both sides.

Something went wrong in that locker room. That's definitely the biggest concern and why I think if he's around it should be as an analyst or ambassador.
Edit: It would also be the most Tech thing ever to have this slam dunk and and follow it up with one of the strangest coordinator hires of all time.

I'm with you on not being crazy about him as DC, but not because or LBs sucked. He wasn't responsible (directly) for developing LBs in his role as HC.
I'm more concerned that players soured on him when he was HC and that negativity will still remain if he's DC.

I should've known the contract was huge. This plane's the only thing big enough to deliver that kinda cash. I suppose they can just supply drop it to him on the 50 yard line tomorrow in front of all the recruits.

The schools that are looking to poach him will not care what his buyout figure is - they'll pay it and figure out the money later.
This is one of the major problems with the disparity in TV revenue.
EDIT: and it'll be up to us as an institution to keep him in the boat when that happens, just like it was up to us to get him in the boat this time.
If we're going to be a part of a new era of funding, it'll be a new way of funding long term, not just this one time.
