Expressing any amount of concern or hesitation over on 247 gets you instantly dogpiled, they have gone full Jonestown over there lol, just excessively hostile to anyone suggesting that maybe there's trouble afoot

My take on all of this:

  • Franklin is happy with/excited about the opportunity with the VT HC job
  • Sexton is masterclassing this deal by essentially "2nd-stringing" VT, making it look like, in public, that Franklin can do better
  • Behind the scenes, however, it's a done deal with VT
  • They let things draw out longer than needed so that VT can then be in a position to say "Well, we were moving on from you...we're really not as interested now"
  • VT can then legitimately low-ball Franklin's contract so that PSU has to pay some/more

In reality, I can see this as not being the case for Sexton because he would essentially allow his client's public market value to depreciate...but maybe they don't care so much about that when the final dollar amount is inked.

The 5 days was referring to him delaying our players from leaving but that person isn't connected at all to VT so they didn't realize that we had already lost our players we were going to lose
