I mean it's absolutely real, but not sure why it's newsworthy. It's just being prepared in case it's announced, leading me to believe the media team knows as much as us.

The first message asks for an image "in case there is an announcement in the next day or so"
Doesn't mean anything at all, really. Just the media team being proactive about a high profile job candidate. I also see that it was just deleted, so not worth reading into, to be honest. It's not like those 'This is HOME' graphics just create themselves.
Editing to add context, Was tweeted by Joe Rogers (like him or not) on Twitter. It was the potential James Franklin intro picture from the VT Athletics creative team.
Zach Lantz is the Senior Creative Director for Hokies FB and was part of the group chat the picture was in. This looks like it was taken by someone at the basketball game, which would also kind of make sense. Not sure how legit, but just showing the class

Not happy about it, I find NBA games nearly unwatchable.
Oh...and the endless interruptions for reviews are complete garbage.... like the 2 min one we just had to take 3 seconds off the clock... and, as is so often true with replay, we couldn't even figure out how to get it right
