Read an article on The Athletic today stating today should be the day if it happens. Here's to hoping lol. Also said VT has been talking with Tulane and JMU head coaches too.

800% trusting bro right now. Maybe even 900%.

I had to double check that I had picked after seeing a goose egg. I did. I kind of wish I hadn't. That would have been a better excuse for a zero.

I baked pies to celebrate (and not at all because it is November and one should bake as many pies as humanly possible for reasons)

Had a 43 year career in wildlife conservation...extremely rewarding. She should plan on a Masters to be competitive in the job market. I also strongly recommend taking some public policy courses (I think it should be mandatory for a Masters) because if you plan to make a positive impact of any substance, you'll either be working for or with the public sector. Entomology wasn't my thing but pollinator issues aren't going away anytime soon. Understanding ecological relationships is also critically important in problem solving...systems ecology is boring as hell but extremely useful.

edit: recommend a broad undergrad curriculum...get specific in grad school. in the 70's the options at VT for a natural resources degree were much more narrow than today and had way too much forestry for my liking. So I have a degree in biology and took all of the electives I could get in wildlife management, botany, and ecology. Went to LSU for grad school in wildlife management (and duck hunting, lol). If she sticks with it, start looking for coop opportunities and/or meaningful summer jobs nlt year 2...best way to crack the code for a job.
