Yeah, but even under the newer kindler and gentler Torts (happened midway through his CBJ tenure) he wasn't exactly someone that let people off the hook. That's part of the additional baffling nature of the situation
If I didn't know better I'd think that the ACC is rigging this for Stanford, but everyone knows they're not competent enough to do that. Also why would they do it for Stanford over FSU...unless it's to punish FSU for all of their big stink/lawsuit and now just not being that good again.

Yeah the one announcer that is former NFL defensive guy, you can hear him almost giggling when he tries to compliment the coverage on some of the throws.
I think this is what I'm noticing for my previous comment about officiating. It definitely seems like Stanford is allowed A LOT of leeway on grabbing, hand fighting, and not even turning their head to find the ball with FSU's receivers

Stanford being allowed to manhandle the FSU WR's. Hurting themselves too but hard to get much going when almost every pass has heavy contact before ball gets there.
This feels like a somewhat awkwardly officiated game (no shocker being the ACC), but something just seems weird. Stanford also is now up 10 and Norvell really has to be staring down the barrel the way this thing is going. Boosters are going to be wanting his head on the end of that flaming spear real soon
